Did Someone Mention Easel Cards?

OCC Butterfly Easel Card

I couldn't resist entering a challenge over at Our Creative Corner (a new challenge blog for me) because their challenge this week is to make an easel card. It's my all time favourite type of card to make! ;)

I used the technique called Inlaid Embossing for this one and got out my fine paint brush and Frost White Shimmer Paint to add some shine to the flowers.

I enjoyed making this one so much that I'm making some more for another round of SWAPS for SU Convention in Melbourne. Thank goodness for the Easter Break!

Project Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Thoughts & Prayers, Butterfly Prints, French Foliage
Card Stock: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze
Ink: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Frost White Shimmer Paint, Basic Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Dies

If you'd like to see my tutorial on how to make a Butterfly Easel Card you can see it HERE.

I'd better rush out the door soon as I'm off to a Craft Fair with Mae followed by tea at Tania's and no doubt we'll be glued to the telly for the BIG WEDDING! Maybe I should have let Kate know that these little butterflies would make great place cards for the reception!!!!
