CAS - Day 2 Continued

Here's another idea from day 2 of CAS Card Making Online Classes. It was all about making one layer cards.

This technique is from Jennifer McGuire and you can see the original inspiration, HERE.

The background polka dots have been white embossed and each image has been coloured in with my new Prisma pencils. This is my first attempt at colouring onto Kraft card stock (Crumb Cake). I think I prefer blending on white. What do you think? Any tips for the novice?

Fabulous Florets (SU)

Bird Cage (Kaiser Stamps), Butterfly from Clearly for You (SU)
PS: Thanks to the ladies at Splitcoast for naming this card as one of their CAS Favourites for the Week.

Lil Molly's Flowers (Annabelle Stamps)
(Not exactly a perfectly flat card as I mucked up the sentiment)

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your comments and often repay the visit.

all lovely cards, and I think they look great as one layer, something I can NEVER achieve, but you have done so and wonderfully.

Bronwyn, those polka dots have turned out so well. I have only tried using a white gel pen on Crumb Cake - not a lot of success. I love your colouring on the Fabulous Florets.

Hi Bron. Thanks so much for your lovely latest comment on my blog. I hope things are going really well for you. I'm trying to catch up with your beautiful projects. I was really sad to read that you've stepped down from JAI, but look forward to seeing what you get up to in the future. Warm wishes, Di
