For my first project I created some miniature succulents using the stamps and coordinating dies -

1.  Miniature Succulents

On our recent trip to Deloraine I purchased these very cute, miniature, clay pots with the idea in mind to make some paper succulents for this hop.  They are now on display in my craft room and every time I look at them they make me smile, mainly because I know these 'plants' won't die on me and also because I love this hobby obsession of mine and never tire of discovering the versatility of our SU products!

Speaking of versatility, every time I finish a packet of Glue Dots I wonder what I will make from the left over cardboard reels. After seeing a cute bird cage on Pinterest recently, I decided to put my thoughts into action. Mmmm ... I think I need the Best Birds Bundle now.  Anyway, here's my bird cage filled with Botanical Blooms -

I have written a tutorial for this and it will feature in my first post on my new blog!  Yep ... addINKtive designs now has a new home.  I have been working behind the scenes to create a more professional look to my website. I must admit that it has been a steep learning curve but I have enjoyed the challenge and am very excited about how it is all coming together.  It has now gone LIVE!

You can hop back to Jess Williams or forward to Bruno Bertucci. Both are bound to wow you with their amazing creations.

Fresh Fruit in a Crate Card for SUO #151

Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs!

I am so excited about sharing my latest 'card in a box' style card; it's a crate full of fresh fruit inspired by the Fruit Stand Suite on page 148 of the new SU Catalogue -

When I first clapped eyes on those cute 3D paper crates, I was itching to tweak the design a little and make a card instead. With that idea in mind and having already eyed off the beautiful Pool Party 'wood grain' sheets of DSP from the gorgeous, NEW, Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack, the combination was inevitable!

My Favourite New Papers - Serene Scenery DSP

It just so happens that the latest challenge at Stampin' Up! Only Challenges is all about making a project using your favourite new papers.

After playing with my new Fresh Fruit Stamps, I can pretty much guarantee that they will see a lot of ink over the coming months; love how the stamps 'shade' and the fact that they are made from photopolymer which makes the two-step (or more) stamping process a breeze.

This crate card is like your regular 'card in a box' style card and folds flat for posting.  However, the finished measurements are a tad too wide for a standard C6 (card) envelope, so a custom made one using the Envelope Punch Board would be the way to go.

This card will be making its way to a very special lady, our CEO of Christian Education National (Australia), Michelle, who flew down to Tassie last week to help celebrate our official opening of the Junior Hub (4 new primary classrooms).

A PDF tutorial which can be used for stamp classes will be available very soon; in the meantime, here's a mini photo tutorial to assist you with the measurements if you would like to construct one for yourself -
