Cut it Out!

Hi there!  Welcome to addINKtive designs. Today I am sharing a card that I made using the soon to be released, Thoughtful Branches Bundle.
TGIF Challenges #65 is all about cutting!  Fussy cutting or die cutting, they don't care, they just want to see you - Cut. It. Out.

Well I can testify that this little creation required a lot of cutting with dies, paper snips, a punch and a paper cutter!  It took me a few hours to make in between doing a few loads of weekend laundry!  You have to have some incentive to get the housework done, right?

For more info, a link up to the challenge and to see the DT's lovely handiwork, click on the image below to take you to the TGIF Challenge Site -

Falling Flowers Planter Box Card for WWYS #71

'What Will You Stamp?' Challenge Blog features the stamp set, Falling Flowers for challenge #71 so seeing I'm on holidays with some time to spare, I decided to join in.

 http://whatwillyoustamp.blogspot.com.au/2016/07/wwys-challenge-71-falling-flowers.html

After much deliberation I chose this soft colour combo and made another planter box card as there were a few pre-cut bits left over from my last class.

Thanks for stopping by,
Thank you, WWYS!

Mother's Day Blog Hop for CASEing the Catty

http://caseingthecatty.blogspot.com/2016/04/ctc75-mothers-day.html

It's good to be back in the blog hop at CASEing the Catty this week!  It's been awhile since I've joined in and I'm really pleased that I had a bit of time to craft this week and to share the card that I have made for my mum for Mother's Day.  It's a Teacup Easel Card with an 'orchid'.

Inspiration came from page 34 of the Occasion's Catalogue

CTC 75 and #tgifc52 - Mother's Day

This card is constructed in a similar way to the one I designed in 2012.  You can view the detailed tutorial HERE and then follow the mini photo tutorial below to see how I adapted it for Stampin' Up! products and accessories only.

This SU Bundle is on the retiring list so get in quick before it's sells out!

($67.00 AUD)

I'm also linking up my card to TGIF Challenges as their theme is Mother's Day -

CASology 161 - PLAID

Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs.

Today I'm sharing a card that I demoed for a small group of grade 9/10 students. Every Wednesday I take a 'study' group; it consists of a handful of students that have chosen not to do Automotive or Sport's Leaders as one of their electives. I try and mix it up each week and do a variety of activities.  Their English teacher had asked if I could get them to make some Thank You Cards for guest speakers and other visitors etc. He didn't have to 'twist my arm' to get me to bring my favourite hobby into the classroom.

The brief was to keep the cards fairly clean and simple, (CAS) and I provided a limited amount of stamps, punches and ink and a large supply of washi tape (I had a bit of a thing about washi back in 2012 and have quite a collection hoard).

Here's one card that I 'demoed ' -

I had the latest CASology Challenge in mind when I chose to use this PLAID fabric washi that was in my stash.

Here's the finished collection made by some of the students -
An A+ for Molly, Elizabeth, Anna and Georgie!

Thanks for stopping by,

Yay! an honorable mention!  Thanks, Melissa and co. -
