Salty Kisses ... Starfish Wishes ... another Z-Fold Card

I am really enjoying making Z-fold cards; the front and inside open up to display a mini scene and I love the 3D/pop-up elements.

High on my list of  favourite stamps are sets that contain shells and anything related to the beach and sea life, so the new Seaside Shore was a 'must have' for me.  I also love beach decor so I made a small 'beach wreath' from a Swirly Scribbles die, added some fussy cut stamped shells and starfish which were brushed with some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter

After spotting a wall hanging in a local gift shop which read, "Salty kisses, starfish wishes", I knew my new Labeler Alphabet Stamp was in need of some ink.  The letters were inked with Dapper Denim and stamped off once on scratch paper before stamping on Shimmery White Card Stock.

The little piece of driftwood was punched from the Tree Builder Punch and like the wreath, has been stamped with the 'woodgrain look' stamp from Timeless Textures in Sahara Sand Ink.

I hope I have inspired you to get creative!  This card was made for a life-long friend who celebrated her birthday a few days ago and shares the same love of the beach.  Roll on summer ...

CASEing the Catty Blog Hop - Favourite Retiring Products

http://caseingthecatty.blogspot.com/2016/05/ctc80-choose-your-own-favourite.html

It's Sunday night and that means another blog hop from the crew at CASEing the Catty!  This week we're choosing our FAVOURITE RETIRING PRODUCT and saying a fond farewell to the 2015/2016 Annual and 2016 Occasions Catalogues. Next week we'll be back with projects CASED (Copied and selectively edited) from the brand new catty!  Eeek! I can hardly wait.

For CTC 80 I've chosen to CASE the gorgeous card from the Hostess Section of the annual catty.  It's on page 181 and features the beautiful big bloom from the Best Thoughts Stamp Set. I only made a few subtle changes as I loved the design and choice of colours.  I did try the flower with Blackberry Bliss Ink at first but decided Calypso Coral looked much better.  The concept design artists at Stampin' Up! are so talented.

Speaking of talent, not only are we saying goodbye to some products but the CTC Crew are farewelling Helen too.  No doubt she will keep blogging and sharing her amazing, 'out of the box' designs with us from time to time, but I sure will miss her being in the DT.

You can click back to Helen Heil from H2 Designs or hop on to Kathryn Mangelsdorf  to see what she has created with her favourite retiring product.

Swirly Scribbles Owl

Oh my goodness ... a new Stampin' Up! Catalogue will be released next week and you are going to love the new dies!   As a demonstrator I had the awesome privilege of ordering some new products a month before the catty goes live.

These Swirly Scribbles Thinlits were high on my wish list; the creative ideas are limitless.  Today was the first chance I've had to play with some new goodies (been interstate for work) and as I was looking at the thinlits shapes, an owl just popped into my head and this is the result -

Punch Art Mermaid Owl

Hi there. Do you love punch art?  I've had this idea for a little punch art mermaid owl and scallop 'shell' for a while now and finally got around to putting it together (Gotta love holidays).  I bought the Bow Builder Punch when it was first released and all I could think of was a mermaid tail and I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't used it to make a bow yet!

The scallop shell is made from one of the petals in the Bouquet Bigz Die!  There are also three sneak peeks of some new products that are being released in a couple of days (5th January) with the launch of the new Occasions Catty!  I have the details listed in my Project Recipe at the end of this post.
