CASEing the Catty for the Catalogue Launch

Today is the day for our Team (Perfectly Rustics) Catalogue Launch! My up-line came up with an awesome idea to CASE some of the projects in the new catty and my contribution was to re-create the beautiful journal on page 164.

Texturing and Layering
Kinda Eclectic Journal

Handy Tip:  During the process, I did discover that the journal featured on that page must be bigger than the ones that will be available to purchase on July 1st. The example on page 164 uses the frame from the Apothecary Accents Framelits but when I went to use that, it was far too large for this journal that measures only 8.9 x 14cms. I substituted it with a tag from the Chalk Talk Framelits instead. The whole idea of all the examples featured in the catalogue is to inspire you to recreate them for yourself. You may just like the sketch and substitute the stamp set and embellishments.  It is chocked full of wonderful examples to keep you happy all year round!

I wasn't really sure about the stamp set, Kinda Eclectic when I found out that it would be one of the free stamp sets at the latest Inspire, Create, Share Convention in Melbourne.  However, after doing the Make 'n' Takes with that set, I was truly inspired.  You can see them below.  The one on the right is a step up from the first one with vellum, mini clip, linen thread and honeycomb stamping using an embossing folder, added to give it a bit more texture.  Sorry about the bad photo as it was taken with my iPhone at the table.

Project Life Confetti Pocket Card for the Friday Mashup

Hello!  It's been a very cold, wet and windy Saturday so I thought I would brighten up my day by having a crack at my first 'card' for Project Life.  It's actually a Confetti Pocket Card made from Window Sheets and the PL Cards and Labels Dies.

I love the latest theme for FM 166 so decided to join in with their latest challenge.

The challenge over at the FRIDAY MASHUP is to -
  • Create a project using "Sequins".
  • Create  a "Hello or Hi project".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a "Hello project with Sequins".
I opted to mash it up and include a 'hello' and sequins!  It's also my first time playing along with their challenges. Thanks for the inspiration.

I actually managed to make 3 projects today so I will back to share something that I made for our team 'Sneak Peek' Catalogue Launch which is on tomorrow.

Until then, happy stamping, die cutting, scrapping ...

A Sneak Peek at Hello Love - Perfectly Rustics' Team Make 'n' Take

I love team get togethers, especially when you are planning a launch for the brand new catty (launch date - July 1st) and  it's also pretty awesome when you get to do a Make 'n' Take that you didn't have to prepare!!

Thanks so much, Sharnee, for designing this super cute card for all of us to make.  It features a gorgeous Hostess Stamp Set that will be available in the new catalogue called 'Hello Love', plus some yummy new Moonlight DSP and Hello Honey Card Stock.

Convention Swap - Tag

Hi there.  Just popping in to share my Inspire, Create, Share Swap Tags that I made as extras ... just in case they were needed.  I made 20 something of these little tags that were similar to the card and gift box that I made for roomie gifts.  The original embellishment that I based this on, was spotted on a card shared on the Stampin' Up! ® Website.  No doubt, you have seen a few similar projects that I have made, as I went through a bit of a butterfly, doily, label, twirly linen thread fad there for a while!  Smile :)

The Production Line on My Kitchen Bench -

I was uploading some photos to Splitcoast yesterday and noticed that my card and matching box had made it to the Featured Stampin' Up! Upload in the SU Gallery. Woohoo!  Took a screen shot for posterity.
