Just Add Summer and a SAB Sneak Peek

Image
Summery Sandals ... Flip Flops, Jandals or just plain 'Thongs' in Aussie Lingo ... so whatever name you call them, the good old Aussie thong represents all things sun, sand, surf and SUMMER. At Just Add Ink there's a challenge to JUST ADD SUMMER to your paper craft creation this week. To add to the Summertime Theme I have used the Stampin' Up! colours of Sahara Sand and Marina Mist . Hint: I crimped the piece of Marina Mist card stock before I traced out the template for the back of the flip flop. Just Add Summer - JAI Challenge #49 Did you notice the Sale-a-bration sneak peek? I have used the cute little flower stamp from the 2011 SAB set called 'Bliss' and I've also discovered it's a good match for one of the Antique Brads. I'll supply more details about the SAB promotion later. It's my favourite time of the Stampin' Up! Year. There's quite a few flip flop card templates in 'Blog Land' and I ...

How about joining in the fun at UStamp with Dawn and Friends Year End Blow Out Edition 2010 ? Click on the blinkie below to sign up for 40+ tutorials by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all around the globe. I'd love to have as many of my blog friends join in as I have the awesome privilege of being a Guest Designer this time around. It's the main reason why you haven't seen much happening on my blog lately, but I can assure you I have been as busy as a bee getting my tutorial ready and totally stretching myself with the 'techie' side of it all. It has been a steep learning curve but I'm so glad that I accepted the offer. You'll also see tutorials from two of my Just Add Ink Team mates - Paula and Danielle. Here's what this edition is all about - This event will show...

... SANTA!!!!! This person knows me very well because I love making these Haute Tote Bags. It was really special to actually receive one in the gorgeous Jolly Holiday DSP . Individual Wrapping for each little Gift I feel thoroughly spoilt! A Personal Touch on the Inside Pocket Mmmm ... who could my Secret Santa be?? Well, it's from a Just Add Ink Team Member and I think I've narrowed it down to two possible lovely, crafty ladies! I'm going to need a little help ... any thoughts? The contents will remain a secret until you see mentioned in future posts that the so called items that I have used were from my Secret Santa ! Love to tease! Thanks for stopping by at this busy time of the year.

Just Add Ink Colour Challenge #47

Extreme Elements ... ... meets Grunge Rock ... for the latest Colour Challenge at Just Add Ink Do you love a colour challenge? What a fun mix of colours for this week's challenge at Just Add Ink . Why don't you give it a go and hop on over to JAI to view the wonderful samples from the DT and to upload your entry there!! I just loved Jo Eades' swap that I received a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to ink up the Extreme Elements set for the first time. Now that my school reports are 'done and dusted' and the Summer Holidays are just around the corner, I can 'chillax' a bit ... well at least until my next SU order arrives (It contains the new stamps that I need for my UStamp with Dawn and Friends Project) ... exciting! I've made a scallop circle easel card and a rectangular easel card/calendar before so I thought it was time to try a square one!! Here's the Project Recipe - Stamp Sets: Extreme Elements, Extreme Guitar, Grunge Rock Ink: ...

Just Add Ink Swap Hop

Image
We recently had a card swap at Just Add Ink ... If you haven't come across it before, a swap is where all participants make multiple copies of one card design and send them off to the rest of the group. What you end up with is a copy of everyone's cards, but you've only had to design one! So we thought we'd share them with you all on a Swap (Blog) Hop! Here are a few details about what's happening... There are 14 stops on our Swap Hop ( Just Add Ink and each of our 13 Design Team members), but the hop is set up in a loop so it doesn't matter where you start. All you need to do to follow along is click the Swap Hop button at the end of each post and you'll be taken to the next stop! The great part of that is that you can do the Swap Hop whenever you want. Here's a round-up of all the swaps I made for the Just Add Ink Design Team Members. To make it a little more interesting I decided to consult the new Stampin' Up! Colour Coach and work w...

A New Friend, A RAK and a Free Pass Give Away

Image
Nikki's Bookmark I recently left a couple of comments on Stampin' Connection (the Australian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's equivalent to Facebook) for Nikki Spencer . I told her that the bookmark SWAP she created would have made a trip to Melbourne Regionals worthwhile! (For me that would involve a plane or boat trip across the Bass Strait) I also saw a gorgeous Christmas side step card using the ' Easter Blossoms ' set that she had made and immediately fell in 'love' with Nikki's style and creativity. I think she is so talented! Nikki has also spent time in some Balinese Orphanages (one of them being, Giri Asih, where I visited in September) and she does paper craft sessions to raise money for the children. She doesn't have a blog YET but I'm sure it won't be far away! ;) The above photo shows the beautiful RAK (Random Act of Kindness) that arrived in the post on Thursday, the very day I needed to find a new 'friend...
