JAI 61 - Just Add Stamps and Nothing Else!

Image
JAI 61 The challenge at Just Add Ink this week is to let your stamps take centre stage and use ONLY stamps on your card stock. Gulp! No embellishments, whatsoever. How difficult was it for me to not add sponging to the edges, do a bit of distressing, add some white taffeta ribbon, dimensionals and use a punch with this card? Answer: Very! My brain hurt just thinking about this challenge as I didn't have a clue what I was going to submit, hence the lateness of this post. However, last night I got all excited at the thought of cracking open my White StazOn Ink that I have had since it was released in Australia but I had never used it! I think I'm a convert now. You'll be seeing a lot more of it from me in the future. Easter Blossoms Maybe clean and simple stamping is your thing, or maybe you're like me and find it a real challenge. Whatever the case, I hope you'll check out the truly inspirational work over at Just Add Ink and play alo...

A Birthday Theme for 'All That Scraps'

Image
This card was made for All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge . The challenge this week was to make a Birthday Themed Project. I made an easel card with Nora on a Swing (C.C. Designs) ... ... and Birthday Sentiments by Amy R. I also used my new cute little Cupcake Punch from SU. I went around to a friend's place recently to do some 'colouring in' and only managed to complete one image with a bit of paper piecing thrown in for good measure. I made the time today to make it into a card and actually enter a challenge for a change! Hope you like!! While I'm on the subject of birthdays, I'd like to send out a big Happy Birthday hug to Patrice, one of the Just Add Ink DT girls. Hope it's a goodie! Mmmmmwah! Happy Stamping,

A Twisted Easel Card for Just Add Ink #60 - a Colour Challenge

The Nerve of Some People!!

Image
craftingourlives has this kit for sale on EBay I had a lovely blogging friend alert me to this card kit that was being sold on EBay out of Canada!! The nerve of some people. She has a 100% rating AT THE MOMENT!! You should definitely check it out as you might have some of your designs being CASED too - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Stampin-Up-Butterfly-Flourish-Card-Kit-/280642985550?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4157a01e4e The seller's name is craftingourlives . She certainly lives up to her name!! Does anyone else think that if you sell card kits it should be your own design? I have my disclaimer at the bottom of the page which she obviously ignored!! (Here's my card BTW) I'm peeved! PS: Another friend found these similarities with another sold kit from the same seller - EBay Kit and Nikki Stalker's gorgeous card

Just Add Ink #59 - A Sketch

Image
Baja Butterflies We've got an awesome sketch this week from one of our talented DT gals, the lovely, Mae Collins . Why don't you head on over to Just Add Ink to view all the inspiration and find some time to join in with this week's challenge. This Week's Sketch at Just Add Ink My submission was inspired by a lovely card that Rochelle shared with Tania, Mae and I at our last get together. I've been wanting to make a card with the little butterflies sitting on the 'Thoughts and Prayers' branch ever since. Also, I recently received some goodies in the mail from Dawn Raspas, as a thank you gift for designing in the last two rounds of UStamp with Dawn and Friends. So combined with a great sketch, a stamp set in mind, a lovely new tag die and Framed Tulips Embossing Folder (available in the upcoming Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue), I set about the task of creating this week's challenge. Some Happy Mail

Image
It's lovely to get some happy mail amongst the bills and advertising material. When I opened each of these little beauties they certainly brought a smile to my face. A big thanks goes out to all the 'senders'. XX

Pergamano

Image
Pergamano Owl I recently visited my SIL (Somerset, Tas.) and to my surprise and delight, discovered she was into card making. I hadn't seen 'Pergamano' before and spent some time checking out all her beautiful work. All the embossing onto vellum is done free hand using templates and very fine embossing tools. Amazing! This little beauty took hours to make. I don't think I have the time or patience for Pergamano but I certainly admire Helen's handiwork. I think I'll stick with my Big Shot , an embossing folder and some vellum!
