I needed to make a few thank you cards to accompany some appreciation gifts for our volunteers at work to give out at Presentation Night last week. The Stampin' Up! Hi there.  Yesterday I enjoyed some time in my craft room and was loving the idea of not having to think too hard about what I wanted to create; I decided that in order to get my mojo back, I would CASE (copy and share everything) a beautiful card that I spotted over at The Global Design Project . It's a real stunner designed by Steffi Helmschrott from Stempelwiese . It's rare that I completely CASE a card right down to the layout and colour scheme but Steffi's card was sheer perfection in my book. Not only did I end up with a very pretty card, my mojo did return and for that I am extremely grateful.  I now have a list of supplies I need for another SU order, my Swallowtail stamp got inked up for the second time, I decided that I really do enjoy heat embossing and watercolouring the background and have now declared Shimmer White as my favourite card stock of all time!  It also did take my mind off the fact that I was missing being in Melbourne for On Stage with my ...

Hi and welcome to addINKtive designs .  While browsing the net for inspiration I came across a new card fold that I just had to try out straight away.  It's called a Fold Over Window Card and Dawn Olchefske has made a fantastic video tutorial with a few little hints and tips to make it easy to recreate.  The original design by LeAnn Greff from Flowerbug's Ink Spot can be found HERE .       I inked up my Lotus Blossom (three step) Stamp for the first time with Blackberry Bliss , Raspberry Ripple and Wisteria Wonder ink and followed Dawn's basic design, then added a bit of variation with some Venetian Crochet Trim down the side panels and a few Basic Rhinestones to finish it off. Love, love how it turned out!  I think this card fold will become a new favourite of mine. Oh look what we made at Stamp Class last night!  Yes ... it's CASED from the Catty, page 14 to be precise.  I had not taken much notice of these Tag a Bag Gift Boxes until 3 designers from CTC Challenges made their own version of the catalogue project for our very first challenge. Needless to say, I just had to buy a couple of packets of these gift boxes for our ladies to 'test drive' at class.  It was a great project, especially for beginners and everyone enjoyed the evening.  They also went home with a scrap page courtesy of De Arn and a card from the Hip, Hip Hooray Card Kit .       I'm already looking forward to the next stamp class!  We will be doing a Project Life Page with De Arn and a card and 3D item with me.    

Did any one else spend countless hours pouring through your mother's magazines, Woman's Weekly, New Idea etc and cutting out all the really cool pics and gluing them into a scrap book?  That was a favourite past time of mine way back in the 60's and 70's.  Fast forward forty years and things haven't really changed that much.  I'm still collecting pics for inspiration but it's a lot less messy without the scissors and glue thanks to the wonderful world wide web and a great site called Pinterest. I often get inspiration from other card makers, but rarely CASE.  However, the following cards are pretty much a copy of someone else's designs which I had 'pinned' on my Pinterest Boards .  There's some slight variations but why mess with perfection? craftingourlives has this kit for sale on EBay I had a lovely blogging friend alert me to this card kit that was being sold on EBay out of Canada!! The nerve of some people. She has a 100% rating AT THE MOMENT!!
