Dynamic Duos #13 - Monochromatic

Image
DD #13 - Monochromatic Over at Dynamic Duos , there's a monochromatic challenge using a couple of my favourite neutrals.  I can't believe we've done our first 3 months of challenges already. I have been showcasing quite a few tags lately and this one features a beautiful doily stamp from a Dark Room Door Set, a leafy flourish die from Marianne Creatables, The Top Note Die from SU and the cute little Perched Reed Bird die from Memory Box .  The bird was cut once in Very Vanilla Card Stock and then again with a paper doily.  I sponged over the doily in Early Espresso Ink so the lacy pattern stood out and then added some pearls and other accessories onto the tag to complete the project. The response to the challenges at Dynamic Duos has been phenomenal and I love checking out the entries.  Hope you can join in for week 13. Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out all the other Dynamos for some Monochromatic projects to get you inspi...

Strips of Colour for CAS-ual Fridays

Image
CAS-ual Fridays CFC61: Use strips of colour or pattern in your Clean And Simple creation I saw the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays this morning as I was scrolling through my blog feed and remembered the gorgeous photo of all the decorative tapes that Freckled Fawn were advertising ... made a mental note to try and get something made using my stash of washi, masking, artisan's tape ... whatever :) but the whole CAS thing didn't quite go to plan.  I think I over did the buttons and bling!  Oh well, at least 50% of the challenge is right as it was very simple and quick to make. Supplies:   SU buttons, rhinestones, ribbon, brad, sentiment, bird die from Memory Box , tapes from pinkpaislee and Kaszazz. Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Hope you have some time to craft this weekend.

The Lollipop Ladies #49 - Fantales

The Lollipop Ladies #49 - Fantales with Text There's a new challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies .   This fortnight we have the delicious treat, often consumed in Movie Theatres all around the country - Fantales.   (I used to love reading about all the famous people on the wrappers). The extra little challenge is to add text to your project. I used SU's colours Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight to match the Fantale Wrappers... ... added a die cut (movie film) from EZ Cut to keep with the Fantale theme and then a few embellishments to finish off the card. I hope you get time to play along.  Make sure you check out the Lollipop Ladies Challenge Blog for some sweet inspiration. Thanks for stopping by,

JAI 124 - Colour Challenge

Image
JAI 124 - Colour Challenge It's so lovely to be back again with a card for the 124th challenge at Just Add Ink .  This week we have a great colour combo to get you inspired.   I had already stamped some tea cups from Sharnee's Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (SU) in various colours and the Marina Mist one came in very handy for this colour challenge.  I loved the images so much that I ended up ordering the set.  Which reminds me ...  I must go and collect it from her :)   I also loved Nikki's card that she entered in a recent challenge at Dynamic Duos and with that idea in mind, I created my own version of a tea cup sitting on a dresser.                                                                  ...

Bizzy Bec's June Challenge - Bright, Cheery and Colourful

Image
Bizzy Bec's June Challenge is to make a paper craft project that is bright, cheery and colourful ... Perched Reed Bird ... and Cheryl has given us this photo for some colourful inspiration - My Memory Box Dies arrived in the mail today so I just had to crack open the packet containing the cute Perched Reed Bird and make a card with it. I have used the negative of the die so you can see the bright blue card stock on the inside.  Well, it looks a lot darker in the photo but it is SU's Pacific Point and believe me, it is a bright colour!  Some masking tape (Music) was added, then a row of bright and colourful, Sweet Button Embosslits . I can see that this little Memory Box Die is going to get plenty of use and was certainly worth the wait. Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!
