Hi.  Today I have my very first card in a box to share with you.  It was made for my son to give to his girlfriend for her 21st birthday.  She had a Masquerade Themed Party!    Masquerade Card in a Box   The card in a box and mask shapes are all Silhouette cutting files made from the beautiful Modern Medley DSP and SU card stock . I would have loved to have added some stamped party balloons etc to the layers in the box but my son's instructions were "not to make it too tizzy", so I had to comply :)  I know the birthday girl loved her special card. The following photo shows the card and box set that we gave Toni for her birthday.  It was based on this card that I made almost a month ago. There have been quite a few challenges that I have wanted to participate in lately but sadly, there's never enough time to do all the ones I'd like to.  However, it's my birthday today so I decided that I would spend a couple of hours in my craft room and make a card for a very dear friend of mine who's turning 50 this week! I managed to combine 4 challenges in one - a very rare thing for me to do and not one owl, butterfly or e-Cutting machine was used in the process (If you follow my blog you will understand the joke). I LOVE the new In Colours in the SU range!  They are my favourite colour collection since becoming a demonstrator in 2008. This card is a CASE from Chloe Evans at Chlo's Craft Closet .  I fell in love with the cute owl card she made and have wanted to make a similar one for ages! This is the last of my Stamp Camp Creations for now.  I did start some other projects but haven't had the chance to finish them off, as Father's Day is only a few days away and I've had lots of card kits to make for school! Just popping in to share a couple more projects that I made at a recent Stamp Camp.  I love the video that Diane Dimich has made on 5 Ways to Use the Pop 'n Cuts Die and decided to make the cute little gift card holder from the new In Colours and Flower Shop Stamp Set. Here's another gift card holder and for this one I used a Silhouette File.  It features the new embossing folder from the soon to be released Holiday Catalogue (1st September).

My mum turns 75 tomorrow so I made an extra special card for an extra special lady!   I have had a few emails from people wondering whether they had bought the right die to make my little butterfly easel card.  The photos can be deceptive as the smaller butterfly easel card is indeed quite tiny and it makes a great place card or gift card but is way too small to post all on its own.  So, one idea is to attach it to a 'base'.  I used the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and added two circles for the contrasting layers and then glued my little butterfly easel on top.  There is heaps of room to write a message underneath on the base of the card.  To ensure that the butterfly stays propped up, I attached a sentiment using the edging from a packet of Stampin' Dimensionals.  Here's the back view.    Now it's just the right size to pop in the post. Yay!  At last a card to share, my first since re-joining SU!  I have about 5 cards I need to make and this is the first one to tick off my 'to do list'.  It's a public holiday in Northern Tasmania and I'm enjoying spending time in my craft room today.  FMS #59  I scrolled down the list of my favourite challenge blogs and found a great sketch by Cindy at Freshly Made Sketches and then used the Colour Coach to help me decide on the colour combo.
