CASEing the Sale-A-Bration Catty - #CTC64

Image
Hi there!  Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Night Blog Hop .  This round we are CASEing (copying and selectively editing) something that takes our interest from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue . The card that I am sharing tonight is not really my usual style - I rarely do masculine cards or cards that are 'flat' or quick and easy to make.  I usually do pretty, feminine, 3D and complicated! ... LOL My downline, De Arn, lent me this SAB set, Sky is the Limit and lots of other new sets and dies for a week over the summer break; so I made the most of the opportunity and whipped up quite a few cards in that time. I will return the favour very soon as I'm now a busy bee back at work for the start of a new school year. For my card I CASED the layout on page 18 (Hello card with Butterflies) and used the colour combo on page 16 - Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Black . Thanks so much for hopping by and supporting the CTC Blog Hop! Up next is Tricia...

A Mini Treat Bag for The Colour Tree

Image
Hi there.  Welcome to addINKtive designs.   I've made a mini treat bag for the third challenge at The Colour Tree and had a lot of fun colouring in the beautiful stamped image from Birthday Blooms with the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  The rose has an ornamental look about it and is super glittery under the lights; it's a shame that the photos don't do it justice.     I hope the colour combo inspires you to ink up and link up at TCTC #3 this week! Thanks for stopping by. Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

We're Sale-A-Brating at CASEing the Catty

Image
Welcome back to the second CTC Blog Hop for 2016.  This week the crew are choosing to CASE (copy and selectively edit) any project from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue . What is Sale-A-Bration?  In a nutshell it means FREE STUFF!  There's extra benefits if you join Stampin' Up!, there's incentives for demonstrators and a pre-order period, plus a free product for every $90 you spend (a whole booklet of choices). Tonight I have chosen to feature the Free SAB Stamp Set, Flowering Fields and matching Wildflower Fields DSP and have CASED the cute little gift bag on page 13 of the SAB Catty but made a double pocket card instead.     The pockets on the front of the card hold a little stamped tag and a coffee bag.     There's a few different versions of the Double Pocket Card out there but I tend to follow this tutorial on You Tube but use an A4 size piece of DSP instead and attach the finished 'pockets' to a card front. ...

The Colour Tree Challenge #2

Welcome back to The Colour Tree Challenges . Wow! Firstly I want to thank every one that linked up their gorgeous creations last week.  I really enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing the diverse range of ideas inspired by the colour combo.   Every single participant for TCTC#1 received a tutorial on how to make a Spring Planter Box Card and I'm looking forward to seeing lots of different paper floral displays in my inbox! (Hint)  If you missed out I'm extending the offer for one more week; just enter this week's challenge, then leave a comment at the end of this post or flick me an email to request one and I'll send it out to you straight away! This week I have a colour combo for you that is taken directly from the pages of the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue , more specifically the gorgeous Love Blossoms DSP stack!  Even Garden Green looks good among the neutrals and shades of pink ;)   Of course you don't have to use the new DSP;  just b...

The Colour Tree's Top 3 for Challenge #1

Image
Hi there. I'm posting the Top 3 Picks a bit earlier than planned as I have a line up of posts scheduled for later in the day. Wow! What an awesome start to The Colour Tree Challenges with a beautiful line up of projects in the gallery.  A huge big thank you to everyone that participated . The colour combo was tricky for some but it was a favourite of mine because I used those same colours for my very first International Design Team (U Stamp with Dawn and Friends) project.   The only change I made was to omit Crumb Cake but there's always the option every week to add other neutrals. So ... without further ado here's the Top Three Picks for #TCTC1 (in order of post date) -   Heidi Weaver - Stampin Along with Heidi Simone Bartrum - Stamping with Simone Vicki - From My Craft Room   Congratulations, ladies!  Make sure you grab the Top 3 Badge to add to your blog! Don't forget that one Winner will be chosen out of all the Top Th...
