I'm Back with the Crew at CASEing the Catty with My Favourite Occasions' Catalogue Project

Image
Hi there and welcome back to the first CASEing the Catty Sunday Night Blog Hop for 2016.  After a few months break from CTC, I'm excited to be back with the crew as we CASE (Copy and Share Everything) our way through the new Stampin' Up! Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues. We now have a brand new look thanks to our very talented Artisan, Jess Williams; also another huge thank you to Rebecca Scurr who now co-ordinates CTC and to the rest of the enormously talented crew who bring inspiration to our CTC readers every Sunday night. It's great to be back as I missed the camaraderie between the team; such a lovely group of ladies. To kick start the year we are bringing you a CASE of our favourite project from the brand new Occasions Catalogue .  Have you seen it yet?  Oh my! Just click on my side bar to download the PDF so you can see all the beautiful new SU stamps and accessories for the season as we head into Valentines Day and Easter.   The card th...

An Oriental Themed Card in a Box for My Sister's Birthday

Image
Hi there.  Welcome to my blog.  Today I'm entering a challenge over at Seize the Birthday . They always have an 'anything goes' challenge for birthdays in general or you can choose to go along with a 'topping' , which this week is to use the colours, red and white . I've spent a few sessions over the last 3 days putting this card together for my sister's birthday which is on January 1st.  I always think it's pretty cool that every year the whole world waits up for her birthday to happen! My sister's town house has an oriental theme and all her decor is in red, white, black and silver.  She doesn't understand why I spend so long making cards as they only get 'thrown away' (gasp!) and she always tells me I should put my energy into making home decor pieces or practical items that last.  Well, I have made sure this one won't end up in the bin (I hope) as I have made a card/home decor piece/gift card holder all in one! Stampin...

Collage Stamping for CCMC #382 Colour Challenge

Image
Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs .  Over the weekend I made a few acceptance cards and this is my favourite one of the three. The gorgeous colour palette at Create with Connie and Mary provided me with a great starting point.   The arty process involved some heat embossing with white embossing powder, some masking, watercolouring a background with aquapainters, some collage stamping then adding the embellishments. It's not my usual style but I had a lot of fun putting this one together.   Thanks so much! -  http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/create-with-connie-and-mary/2015/11/ccmc382-top-3.html Thanks for taking a peek,

Butterfly Sympathy and a Card for a Friend

Image
Hi there.  It's been a while since I have had the opportunity to make some cards as life has been a little hectic lately.  I needed a sympathy card for a friend of mine who recently lost her mum and decided to CASE a design that I discovered through Pinterest.   You can view Brandy's Cards Tutorial on You Tube - Butterfly Basics, 10 cards in 20 minutes .   I love Brandy's design but made a few subtle changes and chose one of my Colour Tree colour combinations.   The next card is a CASE of the above using a different stamp set, Awesomely Artistic and another one of my Colour Tree colour palettes.   Thanks for stopping by,
