Dynamic Duos # 14 - Bold and Sassy

Image
DD # 14 - Lil Monster Valentine It's a Bold and Sassy colour combo this week at Dynamic Duos .   I must admit that orange and green are on 'my list of least favourite colours' but I was surprised at how awesome the combo turned out to be and just how much I enjoyed making this card. This Week's Colour Duo It must have something to do with that little monster image.  Isn't he adorable?  This is the first time I have inked up my Lil Monster Valentine .  In my opinion he gets an Olympic Gold Medal for ' cuteness'. I decided to do a bit of water colouring with my SU Markers and Aqua Painters .  I found it was a relaxing way to pass the time while babysitting for friends a couple of weeks ago. Matching SU DSP, embossed white card stock, tag, sentiment and faux stitching were added using the latest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for inspiration. Last, but by no means least, I am entering my card in the 'Flower Frenzy' Augu...

Totally Tags - Doily Inspiration

Image
Here's another instalment of projects that I shared at a recent demo entitled, 'Totally Tags' .  I won't go into detail about each one as I have a zillion things I need to do today.  If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me an email. 1.  Tag Gift Set (Martha Stewart Birds on a Wire Punch) 2. Doily Tag (with Kaiser Flowers) 3. Doily Tag This gorgeous card made by my friend, Amanda , inspired the following card that I made for a challenge at Annabelle Stamps.  I incorporated a tag for the demo and showed the ladies how to make a paper rose. 4. Tags on Cards Here's a link to a tutorial on Rolled Roses that my friend, Tania, put together - http://taniagould.blogspot.com.au/2010/07/rolled-rose-tutorial.html 5.  Tags on Cards I hope you enjoyed having a peek at my doily inspired tags and cards.  There's still a few days worth of posts to go so make sure you visit every day this week. Tomorrow's Dream

Image
Tomorrow's Dream What reasons could I possibly have for blogging on a week night, especially after a busy day at work? These ones - Annabelle Stamps have a beautiful colour combo for their challenge this week. I was itching to ink up my new stamp set, 'Tomorrow's Dream'. I went to a Copics Class last Friday night and was wanting to try out some new colours (Don't look too closely though, as I'm still learning). I actually cut something out with my new Silhouette Cameo and was so .... excited.  Oh .. the possibilities! I'm temporarily avoiding the task of writing more school reports as I have gone a little stir crazy with 'all work and no play' time over the last week (My recent posts have been scheduled ones). Well, I think they are valid excuses reasons for popping in to say hi with a little challenge card :)  Here's the gorgeous colour palette -   I used SU's Basic Gray , Baja Breeze , Always Artichoke ...

Plum, Blue, Raspberry and Pearls

Image
I'm loving the June holiday break as I get a little extra time to potter in my craft room and enter some of my favourite challenges. I think this is the first time I have entered a challenge at Annabelle Stamps and seeing they have a gorgeous colour combo, I thought I would ink up my brand new 'Garden Silhouette' Stamps for the occasion.  Hello Friend The challenge this week    I used the SU Colours of Perfect Plum , Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry. Plus ... I couldn't go past the challenge at Just Add Ink to add pearls to your project! Thanks so much for stopping by.

CAS - Day 2 Continued

Image
Here's another idea from day 2 of CAS Card Making Online Classes. It was all about making one layer cards. This technique is from Jennifer McGuire and you can see the original inspiration, HERE . The background polka dots have been white embossed and each image has been coloured in with my new Prisma pencils. This is my first attempt at colouring onto Kraft card stock (Crumb Cake). I think I prefer blending on white. What do you think? Any tips for the novice? Fabulous Florets (SU) Bird Cage (Kaiser Stamps), Butterfly from Clearly for You (SU) PS: Thanks to the ladies at Splitcoast for naming this card as one of their CAS Favourites for the Week. Lil Molly's Flowers (Annabelle Stamps) (Not exactly a perfectly flat card as I mucked up the sentiment) Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your comments and often repay the visit.
