At CASE-ing the Catty Challenges  we are up to the Thanks Chapter of the Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue already!  Time flies when you're having fun. My project is CASED from page 145.  Instead of using the gorgeous embellishments just to package the little journal, I decided to put them on the front cover instead. CTC #9   Some Fancy Foil Designer Vellum was used instead of a Dots Mask , plus some different stamp sets and In Colour Sequins to add my own twist to it.  I did, however, keep the great colour combo - Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Gold. Today is the day for our Team (Perfectly Rustics) Catalogue Launch! My up-line came up with an awesome idea to CASE some of the projects in the new catty and my contribution was to re-create the beautiful journal on page 164.  Texturing and Layering Kinda Eclectic Journal Handy Tip:  During the process, I did discover that the journal featured on that page must be bigger than the ones that will be available to purchase on July 1st. The example on page 164 uses the frame from the Apothecary Accents Framelits but when I went to use that, it was far too large for this journal that measures only 8.9 x 14cms. I substituted it with a tag from the Chalk Talk Framelits instead. The whole idea of all the examples featured in the catalogue is to inspire you to recreate them for yourself. You may just like the sketch and substitute the stamp set and embellishments.  It is chocked full of wonderful examples to keep you happy all year round! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...
