My son asked me to make a card for him to give to his girlfriend's mum for her 50th Birthday!  So ... I guess it needed to be pretty special.  She loves to sew dresses for her daughter so the Dress Form Pop 'n' Cuts was an obvious 'springboard' for the rest of the design. Some Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB - free with every $90 purchase) helped me to decide on the colour combo and the long forgotten Sweet Buttons Embosslits was a 'must' to add to the dress making theme. I blew dust off the retired set, Sew Suite , so I could stamp that cute little sewing machine image on the envelope to complete the project.  Inside View Outside View I just love how easy it was for a variety of Stampin' Up! ® products to come together to make this card.  My favourite little 'added extra' is the Needlepoint Border embossing down the sides of the card front. I'm pretty sure Gina will appreciate it and Ryan will continue to remain in her...

My Festive Flurry Kit arrived this week so I have been busy preparing for my Christmas Workshop which is on Monday night. This is one idea that didn't quite make the 'cut' for the Make 'n' Take .  However, it is reasonably 'blog worthy' particularly since I haven't shared anything here in the last fortnight.  I have officially entered the crazy, silly season and will resume normal 'life' in about 6 weeks time! :)  Roll on Summer holidays. Just popping in to share a couple more projects that I made at a recent Stamp Camp.  I love the video that Diane Dimich has made on 5 Ways to Use the Pop 'n Cuts Die and decided to make the cute little gift card holder from the new In Colours and Flower Shop Stamp Set. Here's another gift card holder and for this one I used a Silhouette File.  It features the new embossing folder from the soon to be released Holiday Catalogue (1st September).

My Kinder/Prep class did some marbling using shaving foam and re-inkers.  This was the first step in a long process to  make a very special card for their mums for Mother's Day. Step 1:  Get an adult to squirt a heap of shaving foam onto a plastic plate. Step 2:  Add a few drops of different coloured re-inkers.      Step 3:  Swirl the inks together but be careful not to over mix the colours. Step 4:  Press your paper into the swirled, inky mixture and lift off. Step 5:  Leave for a couple of minutes to allow the ink pattern to soak in and then with swirly motions, wipe off the excess shaving cream.     Step 6:  Wait for your marbled paper to dry before cutting out the dress shapes with the dies. Step 7:  Cut out the card bases using a Big Shot Machine to make your pop-up card.       Step 8:  Attach your 'marbled dresses...
