The beautiful Anne Marie Hile is celebrating her birthday and I have joined in with the 'Linky' party to wish her the happiest of days! I got to know Anne Marie when I was on the very first Design Team for Dynamic Duos and these days we keep in touch through Facebook.  I heard she likes all things, 'pink and girly' so I have made her one of my Butterfly Easel Cards to wish her a very happy birthday.   Hip, hip hooray!      This card has been electronically cut using my Silhouette Cameo, then stamped, embossed and sanded for the finished look.

DD #16 - Friends are like Pockets   Remember my 'Totally Tags' demo in July?  This is the very last example that I have to share with you in that series.  It was made using the latest challenge colours for Dynamic Duos. The Black Tie Challenge this week is to use River Rock and Basic Black in your project with Brads as a Dessert Option . My card was made from a sheet of paper from the Denim Bloc pack by Joy Crafts . The 'black denim jeans' were perfect for the option of adding brads (3 different SU ones used in this project). The River Rock tags were made from textured card stock using the three sizes of tags from the Nestabilities dies from Spellbinders and stamped with the sentiment from Pocket Fun (SU-retired). I used a craft knife to cut along the edges of the 'pockets' and placed a foam dot (dimensional) on the inside of both sides of the pocket, just below the opening to allow for easy access for the tags.     ...

DD # 15 - Baby Boutique It's a soft and subtle colour combo at Dynamic Duos for week 15 - Pretty In Pink and Certainly Celery . The Colour Duo - Soft, Romantic Colours A friend holidaying in Canada was able to send me some cute new Stampin' Up! goodies which arrived in the post just in time for me to put this card together. There has been a bit of a 'baby boom' lately.  My mum has been busy knitting little jackets or jumpers for me to give as presents and I'm trying to catch up on the card making.   This one was made to welcome Lucee Joy , first grandchild for friends of mine. I have used the cute little bird image from the new stamp set, Baby Boutique and the new large scallop edgelit die and co-ordinating Delicate Designs embossing folders .  Thanks so much for stopping by. DD #13 - Monochromatic Over at Dynamic Duos , there's a monochromatic challenge using a couple of my favourite neutrals.  I can't believe we've done our first 3 months of challenges already. I have been showcasing quite a few tags lately and this one features a beautiful doily stamp from a Dark Room Door Set, a leafy flourish die from Marianne Creatables, The Top Note Die from SU and the cute little Perched Reed Bird die from Memory Box .  The bird was cut once in Very Vanilla Card Stock and then again with a paper doily.  I sponged over the doily in Early Espresso Ink so the lacy pattern stood out and then added some pearls and other accessories onto the tag to complete the project. Dynamic Duos #12 - Japanese Doll Tag It's Black Tie Week and Poppy Parade is the colour that Lesley has chosen to team up with Black for our 12th challenge at Dynamic Duos this week.  The Dessert Option is to use Punches. This is another project that I shared at my recent 'Totally Tags' demonstration.  The tag template is from Silhouette (Luggage Tag) and embossed with a CB embossing folder. The colours just led me down the 'Oriental' path so I made a little Japanese Doll from punches.  I have made lots of these for swaps in the past and seeing the dessert option for Dynamic Duos is to use punches this week, I thought I would re-visit this cute little design. Dynamic Duos #11 - Subtly Yours It's time for a soft and romantic colour combo at Dynamic Duos.   I chose to go 3D this week and create a Butterfly Gift Box from the Beautiful Butterflies and Box #2 dies from SU. This Week's Soft and Subtle Challenge Colours The handle was made using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and the pink butterflies were embossed and then sponged with Pink Pirouette Ink and finished off with some Parisian Breeze DSP and an Antique Brad.  DD #10 - Bold and Sassy It's the first week of the month and that means a Bold and Sassy Combo for this week's challenge at Dynamic Duos. I think after all the report writing I had to do, I struggled to get back into the flow of things and the 'mojo' just wasn't happening.  This project turned out nothing like I pictured it in my head but because I have little spare time at the moment to re-do stuff, I just had to go with it.  I'm sure we are our own worst critic. Anyway ... onto the details - This little pocket and tag set is just the right size to hold a tea bag.  You might be seeing a lot of tags in my projects over the next few weeks as I have a demonstration coming up at a local craft shop called, Totally Tags . Apart from the SU DSP and brads, I got to play with some new things ... so I guess that's good.  The stamp set is from The Greeting Farm , the Artisan Tape from pinkpaislee and the Pocket and Tag Die Cut is from Silhouette ....

It's the fifth challenge of the month at Dynamic Duos and that means a little diversion from the usual colour mix.  Lesley has chosen Crumb Cake as the challenge colour but the exciting thing is that you get to team it up with a colour of your choice. For my daughter's birthday, which was way back in May, I made a card using Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze because Laura's favourite colour is 'rust'. Laura's Birthday Card for DD #9 - Mix and Match I used one of my cute stamp sets from Technique Tuesday called, 'Life is Good' and made an easel card from SU's Framelit Dies. I really love the 'linen' look that is created when you stamp on textured card stock.  The gorgeous leafy flourish is cut from a Cheery Lynn Die called Mini Fanciful Flourish . The Colour Duo To complete the inside of the card, I used the negative of the die and sponged with Crumb Cake to make a patterned stencil of the leaves.  ...

DD #7 - Happy 'Bird'-day Wow!  How's this for a bright and bold 'Black Tie' event for the 7th challenge at Dynamic Duos ? I love Melon Mambo and it looks stunning teamed with black.  The 'dessert option' this week is to add RIBBON . I love this style of card which I discovered through Pinterest.  You can see the previous one I made, HERE. For today's card I used a Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch for the side panels, adhered 1" Melon Mambo circles behind every 'doily' and added a rhinestone to each centre.  The silhouette image is a die cut purchase from a local craft store. I'm really excited about this colour duo and look forward to seeing many creations in the gallery this week. DD #6 - April Showers This week at Dynamic Duos we have a subtle colour combination of   Regal Rose and Basic Gray. To create this little scene, I cracked open my  new set, 'April Showers' from Flourishes and the cute cloud dies from PTI. Week 5 at Dynamic Duos means a bright, bold and sassy, colour duo.  I must admit that this combo was a tad challenging for me and I nearly went with a 'Lego' inspired card for a child.  However, after purchasing a brand new stamp set, 'Three Little Birds' (Darcies), I went with a totally different idea. There's nothing like new rubber to get me motivated. It's strange how some spontaneous stamp purchases have to be inked straight away and others that 'I just HAD to have' are still sitting on the shelf gathering dust. I'm on holidays for the next couple of weeks, with some time to spare, so I am going to have a big clean out to make room for my new Silhouette Cameo that I will need to learn to 'drive' :)  So ... stay tuned for some more stamp sets that I will soon put up for sale!
