I chose to use the cute elephant image from Patterned Occasions and make a Double Pocket Card to hold a couple of tags. After much indecision, I decided to go with this very CAS design for our team swap on Saturday night.  I have recently re-joined SU and met Sharnee's Team for the first time.  Nine of us ladies had a wonderful time chatting and making the Christmas Ornament that features on the front of the current Holiday Catalogue . I'll post a photo when I've had a chance to complete it. Thanks, Sharnee and all the girls, for making me feel so welcome and providing me with lots of bits and pieces to make the ornament.  Hope my order arrives soon so I can start making some more Christmas projects.

 Owl Occasions Christmas Tags (made from the Two Tags Die) I've been fiddling around trying to come up with a Team Christmas Swap with my limited supplies of current SU stock.  I did, however, get the very cute, Owl Occasions Stamp Set and some Comfort Cafe DSP that will pass as 'festive' in my re-starter kit and made this mini pack of tags.  The topper is made from the Oval Accents Die and I have used Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade ink and matching ribbon. I think I'll try a couple of other ideas and may end up with a variety of swaps as I'm not fond of mass producing the same design. So, there might be a few other posts that will pop up later in the week if I can find the time to be a bit more adventurous. Thanks for stopping by.

Candy Cane Holder from the Two Tags Die I discovered a cute little candy cane holder on Stampin' Connection made by Cristy Butzen,  You can find the tutorial on her blog, Tinker with Ink. As I don't have any current Christmas DSP until my order arrives, I used the Snow Swirled Stamp Set instead and added a loop of crochet trim so it can hang on the Christmas tree.  A combination of Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive was used on the Very Vanilla base and an Antique Brad  for a touch of 'vintage'. DD # 14 - Lil Monster Valentine It's a Bold and Sassy colour combo this week at Dynamic Duos .   I must admit that orange and green are on 'my list of least favourite colours' but I was surprised at how awesome the combo turned out to be and just how much I enjoyed making this card. This Week's Colour Duo It must have something to do with that little monster image.  Isn't he adorable?  This is the first time I have inked up my Lil Monster Valentine .  In my opinion he gets an Olympic Gold Medal for ' cuteness'. I decided to do a bit of water colouring with my SU Markers and Aqua Painters .  I found it was a relaxing way to pass the time while babysitting for friends a couple of weeks ago. Matching SU DSP, embossed white card stock, tag, sentiment and faux stitching were added using the latest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for inspiration.  Tag Easel Card from Marianne Creatables Tag Die Well, it was inevitable that I would make an easel card for my 'Totally Tags' Demo.   I used a Marianne Creatables tag die to make this card.  The flower stamp and matching die cuts are from a Hero Arts/Sizzix Set. The flower was coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. When I was a Stampin' Up! With Christmas only a month away, it is very timely for Just Add Ink to have a Christmas Themed Challenge. However, this challenge is a little different to the average and we've entitled it 'Bah Humbug'! JAI 95 - Best of Everything Button Tree for the 'Bah Humbug' Challenge The challenge is to make a paper craft project with a Christmas theme but you're not allowed to use 'Christmas stamps', Christmas patterned papers etc. (except for the sentiment of course). I hope you have fun with it and I'm looking forward to seeing what creative ideas our 'challengees' come up with. I love my Fridays off ... ... because I get some time to play. I went into my craft room ... ... and this is what I made today! I was inspired by these you see ... ... but an easel card was beckoning me! :)

JAI 92 - Double Pocket Card with Tags The challenge this week at Just Add Ink is to ... add a tag or a bookmark to your paper craft project. I made a basic Pocket Card from the beautiful Mocha Morning Speciality DSP to hold the two matching tags. Some extra detail was added to the pockets by using the Eyelet Border Punch for some edge trimming as well as some machine stitching to hold the pockets together. The layering of punches for the sentiment was an idea I picked up from a very talented demo called Julie Davison . You can find her beautiful card HERE . The finishing touch was the addition of a gorgeous rose bead that I discovered in my craft stash while I was searching for the Linen Thread . The tags were stamped with Soft Suede using the flourish from Elements of Style. I hope you get a chance to play along with our 92nd challenge. There's a 'fantabulous' challenge at Just Add Ink this week to add a die cut to your paper craft project. I chose to use ... Petite Pocket Two Tags ... to make a matching gift card for another 'Lucky Owl' that I made from some paisley denim material. JAI 88 - Add a Die Cut (or two) Paisley Denim 'Lucky' Owl with Matching Petite Pocket The tag needed to be trimmed a bit so it could fit inside the pocket. I'm so glad I kept my Paisley Background Stamp as it was just right for adding some extra detail to the tag. I also pressed the little owl from Fox and Friends against the Paisley stamp (kissing technique) to make the pattern on the owl. The colours that I used for this project are Cherry Cobbler and Not Quite Navy . The idea was inspired by a beautiful project that Sophie Zadeh demonstrated at Hobart Regionals using the Petite Pocket Die and a piece of denim from a much loved pair of jeans (see above).
