CASE-ing the Catty #11 - Tags

Image
Better late than never!  I finally managed to sneak a bit of time in my craft room to make a tag for the latest challenge at CASE-ing the Catty . For CTC #11 we are CASE-ing the Tags from the Holiday Catalogue .   CTC # 11 Endless Wishes Stamp Set (page 32)   Frosted Sequins (page 22)   inside the shaker tag.     I combined two ideas - the round tag from page 24 and the shaker tag from page 30, to make my circular, snowflake and sequins shaker card. I hope you can join us for our new 'look' challenges as we CASE our way through the Holiday Catty. We've also switched to FORTNIGHTLY challenges to allow people more time to submit an entry! Thanks for stopping by,

Little Vintage Vans

I made a blue version for my brother's 50th on the weekend and made a spare set using Real Red Polka Dot DSP.      The Card   The Gift Box      The Gift Box could also be used as a Card Holder

Vintage Vans - Card and Gift Box

My brother turned 50 today and we celebrated his 'milestone' birthday at the Fifties Diner  in Deloraine.  His hobby is restoring wooden vintage caravans so when I spotted these cutting files in the Silhouette Store , I just had to make a set for his birthday. Happy Birthday, Andrew!   The Card        I made a little gift card holder for inside the card.   The Gift Box       The colour scheme is Marina Mist, Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I used some Polka Dot DSP and ribbon from my retired stash and filled the little gift box with Jelly Bellies, Starburst Berries and Cola lollies.  A while back I bought him an early birthday pressie (a book on vintage caravans) which inspired this card -    http://addinktivedesigns.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/scalloped-tag-easel-card-with-punch-art.html   Thanks for visiting.  I've shown you the b...

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #9 - Thanks

Image
At CASE-ing the Catty Challenges  we are up to the Thanks Chapter of the Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue already!  Time flies when you're having fun. My project is CASED from page 145.  Instead of using the gorgeous embellishments just to package the little journal, I decided to put them on the front cover instead. CTC #9   Some Fancy Foil Designer Vellum was used instead of a Dots Mask , plus some different stamp sets and In Colour Sequins to add my own twist to it.  I did, however, keep the great colour combo - Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Gold. I'm really enjoying the challenge each week to find something from the catty to CASE (Copy and Share Everything). Why don't you join me and find a project that inspires you. Thanks for stopping by,

Goodbye to SUO - My Last DT Project

Image
Hi there and welcome to my last submission as a Design Team Member for SUO !  I was thrilled to be asked by Robin 10 months ago, to join this very talented group and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the DT.  Thank you, Robin, Karen, Connie, Justin, Pam, Mary, Julie and Stacey for all your inspiration and support. I'm still very much involved with CASE-ing the Catty Challenges and have another Guest Design stint in November with another DT.  It's important that I don't have 'too many fingers in too many pies' at the one time and with the warmer weather approaching, I'm wanting to spend much less time on the computer and more time outside when I come home from work.  After 6 years of 'paper craft obsession', I feel like I'm walking into a new 'season'.  I don't think I'm saying goodbye to all things 'stamping' etc. but I'm really wanting to get back to doing photography as a hobby and Project Life may become my new c...

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #8 - Card Giving

Image
Here's my card for CTC 8, better late than never.  I do have a good excuse - hubby took me away for my birthday this week. We enjoyed a bit of R & R with magnificent beach views and beautiful spring weather. It was just what I needed after a hectic time at work. At CASE-ing the Catty we are looking at the Card Giving section from the Annual Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue this week.  I was in need of a sympathy card so this is what I put together - It's CASED from a card on page 120 of the catty - I kept the colour scheme (Smoky Slate and Old Olive) and the layout the same, just changed the stamps as my friend's dad loved to watch the birds in his garden. Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you can join us at CTC for the card giving theme this week.
