CASEing Steffi from Stempelwiese

Image
Hi there.  Yesterday I enjoyed some time in my craft room and was loving the idea of not having to think too hard about what I wanted to create; I decided that in order to get my mojo back, I would CASE (copy and share everything) a beautiful card that I spotted over at The Global Design Project . It's a real stunner designed by Steffi Helmschrott from Stempelwiese . It's rare that I completely CASE a card right down to the layout and colour scheme but Steffi's card was sheer perfection in my book. Not only did I end up with a very pretty card, my mojo did return and for that I am extremely grateful.  I now have a list of supplies I need for another SU order, my Swallowtail stamp got inked up for the second time, I decided that I really do enjoy heat embossing and watercolouring the background and have now declared Shimmer White as my favourite card stock of all time!  It also did take my mind off the fact that I was missing being in Melbourne for On Stage with my ...

Double Butterfly Flip Card Video Tutorial

Image
Hi there.  I'm just a little bit excited today as I have my very first video tutorial to share with you!  Yep ... I talk in this one but I was extremely nervous at the thought of being recorded.  I'm also waiting on an extended tripod for my iPhone so I can record from a bird's eye view rather than from the side of my craft desk.  All I can say is, I have my 'L' plates on and can only improve with practice :).  I would value some feedback, so if you can offer me any video tips and tricks, feel free to leave a comment or flick me an email. TGIF Challenges - Tuesday Throw Down (#tgifctd01)

Image
Hi there, today I am playing along with the first Throw Down Challenge at TGIF Challenges .    #tgifctd01 Here's the Brief -      I love the idea of throwing a few Stampin' Up! products out there and seeing what you can make from a selected combination.  I don't have the Work of Art Stamp Set or the Hello You Thinlits ... yet ;) so that left me with the remaining four to make something from - Gold Foil, Butterfly Thinlits, Blushing Bride and Blackberry Bliss Ink.  The 'gold' trend is a favourite of mine at the moment as well as the new Watercolor Wings Stamp Set, so I made a butterfly easel card similar to one I created a few days ago.     If you haven't checked out the latest TGIF Challenge Blog , you really should; lots of wonderful talent and gorgeous paper craft samples on display. Thanks for stopping by,
