Christmas Badges from SU Punches

Image
Here's a couple of simple gift ideas you can make as stocking fillers for Christmas. I have been wanting to make some badges using SU's punches ever since I got an owl one as a swap from Michelle Martin at Convention. The first is made from the Doily Triple Layer Punch using Real Red and Whisper White card stock and a chocolate coloured felt rose. The second is made from the XL Two-Step Bird Punch, Spice Cake DSP and Pear Pizzazz card stock. To make - Punch out about 6 layers of card stock and glue together. Coat the top of the badge with Crystal Effects and leave to dry overnight. Coat the underneath with the same and place a badge pin in the wet CE and leave to dry. Voila! It's that simple. Happy 'punching',

Paper Magiclay Pendant for JAI 76

Image
It's been a while since the last post but I'm glad to be back stamping after a very hectic schedule with two weekends away and a very busy time at work. Delys has provided us with a beautiful inspiration photo for Just Add Ink's 76th Challenge and I thought I'd try something a little different this time around. Paper Magiclay Pendant - JAI 76 The Photo for our Inspiration Challenge I bought some Paper Magiclay from a local craft shop and blended some dark blue and white clay together to form this gorgeous marine blue colour. I used SU's 'seaweed flourish' and small shell stamp from the set called, Ocean Commotion and pressed them into the rolled out clay to create a bit of 'debossing'. A drinking glass was used to 'cut out' the pendant shape and this was then attached to a split ring before leaving it to dry for the next 24 hours. The next night, I sponged White Staz On over the 'seaweed flourish...

JAI Challenge # 5 - Just Add Dimension

Image
Jewellery Box, Earrings and Bracelet This week, at Just Add Ink , the challenge is to just add 'dimension'. Wow! the possibilities are endless!!! I ought to know because it took me a long time to decide on what project I was going to submit! What would I make? .. a box, a bag, a card with Stampin' Dimensionals (Hang on ... 99% of my cards just have to have those, as I can't live without them!) What about a pop-up card or maybe some jewellery? Over the summer, I bought quite a few templates from the Digi Chick Boutique and I wanted to use one of those. I had made quite a few cup cake gift boxes and was tempted to do another, until I saw some great jewellery boxes on Splitcoast using the match box template. I finally decided to make some jewellery pieces using the Pretties' Kit and the Filigree Brads and make a jewellery box to accompany them. The Pretties' Kit can be used for a Variety of Projects I printed and cut out 6 small matchbox templates (with my P...
