Banner Fun at SUO Challenges

Image
Hi there!  If you follow my blog you will know that I love making fun shaped cards, especially easel cards.  This design has been in my head for a while and I held off making it until this week because it just so happens to fit in perfectly with the Banner Fun Challenge at SUO .     A Double Scalloped Tag Topper Easel Card for SUO #91        Side View    Back View    Inside View     Folds into a Standard Size Card Envelope (C6) The Fringe Scissors make it easy to add some 'grass' to the card.  Did you also notice the three SALE-A-BRATION goodies (one free for every $90 you spend) that were used in the making of this card? Sweet Sorbet DSP Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack Banner Punch Happy SALE-A-BRATION everyone!  It's one of the most 'fun times' on the Stampin' Up! ® calendar. I made the easel part on each side 2 inches wide so the Woodgrain Tags, made from th...

Oh! Seriously ... How Easy was this? A Gift Bag for FMS #120.

Don't you love it when a creative thought in your head is transformed into a project that requires very little effort?  I'm 'chuffed' at how simple this was and how happy this little gift bag makes me feel!  Not to mention the fact that I'm also pleased that my light box is working again ... I thought a globe or connection was in serious need of repair until I discovered last night that one plug wasn't pushed in at the switch properly!  Duh ... truly a 'blonde' moment. Apologies for a week's worth of 'ho hum' photography. Ok .. onto this little gift bag ...  When I'm out and about being a 'tourist' and wandering through various gift shops that our beautiful state of Tasmania has to offer, I often pick up bits 'n' pieces to add to my craft stash that I keep for a 'rainy day'.  Most of my collection consists of things that I can 'alter' by jazzing them up a little with Stampin' Up! ® product.  I've ...

The AddINKtive Designers

I got to have my first 'team' craft night on Monday and two of my down line came along to make a SAB card (previous post) , view the new pre-order goodies from the Occasions and SALE-A-BRATION Catalogues and get to generally hang out, craft, chat, eat, drink and enjoy each other's company. Jo's Stash After we had finished the Make 'n' Take , De Arn and Jo had the opportunity to have a bit of a 'free play' with some new and old products.  Jo wanted to learn how to emboss on Vellum Card Stock so we stamped one of the beautiful ' Festive Flurry ' stamps with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder .  Then we just couldn't resist having a play with the retired Cherry Scented EP - yum! Next, the Spiral Flower Die got a work out and Crystal Effects was added to the paper rose to form the 'dewdrops'.  Lastly, both ladies wanted to make their very own SAB Owl from various punches and the Top N...

Sweet Sorbet Owl for SALE-A-BRATION 2014

Image
Sale-a-bration is just around the corner and I'm getting ready for my workshop launch at the end of the month by trying out some of the freebies I've earned during the pre-order time for demos. I decided to CASE a very cute owl birthday card/gift bag that my talented up-line, Sharnee , gave me last year for my birthday (photos at the end of this post). Inside with the air conditioning going was a good place to be today as we're experiencing a bit of a heat wave at the moment (34 degrees Celsius is hot for Tassie and tomorrow the temperature is expected to rise even further).   Sweet Sorbet Owl Card My project is actually a card so here's a little tutorial I put together if you want to make one for yourself.  Hopefully the photos will be self explanatory.  I'll point out the SAB free gifts along the way. Sponge the edges of the Top Note pieces, scallop circles and hearts with matching ink. S...
