ADDINKTIVE DESIGNS

This week over at still addINKtive challenges we are featuring two gorgeous stamp sets that have matching dies -  Hearts a Flutter   Secret Garden Hop on over to the challenge blog to check out the guidelines.  Your project does not have to be new so if you have made a card, 3D item or a scrapbook layout etc. using either Hearts a Flutter or Secret Garden , go and link it up.  We'd love to see what you have created.

On Friday night I held my first proper workshop since re-joining SU.  It was more like a stamp class as all the participants got to make two cards to take home with them.  I wanted to feature items from the new Seasonal Catalogue, SALE-A-BRATION and the current Ideas Book and Catalogue.  This is what I came up with -   Make 'n' Take # 1 - Just Because (14/3/13 - I've linked this card to the latest challenge at still addINKtive ) Guests could choose to do an alternative colour scheme to the one pictured above - Primrose Petals Core'dinations card Stock embossed with the Fancy Brocade embossing folder and a Pool Party Decorative Label behind the sentiment.   Make 'n' Take # 2 - Friends This one was a lot quicker to make and both designs got the tick of approval from all the guests.  Inspiration for the second card came from page 13 of the Seasonal Catalogue.   Project Recipe by Catalogue - IB&C:  Stamp Set - Flock Togeth...

Having a new box of pre-order goodies land on my door step was very exciting.  Having my mum stay for a few days was lots of fun too but it meant that I had to forget about the big brown box that was sitting in my craft room for a few days.  Mum and I enjoyed a bit of shopping and went to the cinema to see Les Misearbles.  We had a lovely, restful time.  She left today so I couldn't stop myself from wandering into my craft room to play with some stamps, dies and accessories from the new Seasonal Catalogue, which will be released in Australia on February 1st. I used the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to get my mojo flowing again.   FMS # 68 I love the simplicity and versatility of this sketch.
