Tag a Bag Gift Box

Image
Oh look what we made at Stamp Class last night!  Yes ... it's CASED from the Catty, page 14 to be precise.  I had not taken much notice of these Tag a Bag Gift Boxes until 3 designers from CTC Challenges made their own version of the catalogue project for our very first challenge. Needless to say, I just had to buy a couple of packets of these gift boxes for our ladies to 'test drive' at class.  It was a great project, especially for beginners and everyone enjoyed the evening.  They also went home with a scrap page courtesy of De Arn and a card from the Hip, Hip Hooray Card Kit .       I'm already looking forward to the next stamp class!  We will be doing a Project Life Page with De Arn and a card and 3D item with me.

Convention Swap - Tag

Image
Hi there.  Just popping in to share my Inspire, Create, Share Swap Tags that I made as extras ... just in case they were needed.  I made 20 something of these little tags that were similar to the card and gift box that I made for roomie gifts.  The original embellishment that I based this on, was spotted on a card shared on the Stampin' Up! ® Website.  No doubt, you have seen a few similar projects that I have made, as I went through a bit of a butterfly, doily, label, twirly linen thread fad there for a while!  Smile :) The Production Line on My Kitchen Bench -        I was uploading some photos to Splitcoast yesterday and noticed that my card and matching box had made it to the Featured Stampin' Up! Upload in the SU Gallery . Woohoo!  Took a screen shot for posterity.  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog,

Inspire, Create, Share - Swap and Roomie Gift

Image
Hi there.  Sorry that I have been MIA.  It's been a busy couple of weeks at work with major renovations to half the classrooms and getting organised with mid-year reporting.  I'm itching to get my pre-order goodies out of the boxes and onto my craft desk.  Hopefully, I'll have something new to share with you soon. It's just a quick post today to share my Create, Inspire, Share Card Swap that I participated in with the JAI girls.  I also made a little gift box to match the swap for a roomie gift.  You've probably seen a few of these Scalloped Tag Topper sets that I have recently made so I won't go into detail with the project recipe. My South Pacific Convention Swap (Thanks for taking the photo, Nikki) If you follow my Facebook Page you would have seen lots of photos of our absolutely awesome time in Melbourne.  One of the many highlights was rockin' along to ABBA with Bjorn Again at the after party. Here's one set of pho...

Stamping in the Background for SUO 98

Image
Hi everyone.  Are you ready for another awesome challenge at SUO ? It's all about 'Stamping in the Background' .  I've actually used two background stamps - Woodgrain and Dictionary but you can use any SU stamps to make up your background, or where you would normally add DSP.  Check out the challenge site if you need more clarification on the theme for this week. SUO #98 - Stamping in the Background As you can see from my card and the snazzy new project recipe below, I have used a combination of digital punches (cut out with my Silhouette Cameo ) and traditional dies and stamps. I had originally planned to use this card as my swap for South Pacific's Inspire, Create, Share Event but I ran out of time to devote to mass producing the design.  In reflection, that was probably a blessing :) I hope I have inspired you to play along over the next fortnight and share your 'Stamping in the Background' projects with us.  Don't be 'shy'...

It's a Masquerade

Image
Hi.  Today I have my very first card in a box to share with you.  It was made for my son to give to his girlfriend for her 21st birthday.  She had a Masquerade Themed Party!    Masquerade Card in a Box   The card in a box and mask shapes are all Silhouette cutting files made from the beautiful Modern Medley DSP and SU card stock . I would have loved to have added some stamped party balloons etc to the layers in the box but my son's instructions were "not to make it too tizzy", so I had to comply :)  I know the birthday girl loved her special card. The following photo shows the card and box set that we gave Toni for her birthday.  It was based on this card that I made almost a month ago. This time the leaves were e-cut using a digital punch from the very cute Warm Weather Woodcuts Digital Download (MDS) - Here's a few snap shots of the birthday girl and some of our family all dressed up in Venetian Masks -  Toni ...
