A Centre Panel Easel Card for CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #20 - Blendabilities and Framelits

Ooops!  I'm a bit late posting my card for the latest challenge at CASE-ing the CattyThis is my first day at home for two weeks as I have either been at work or away!  It's been frustrating having an idea in my head for ages and not having the time to get into my craft room to actually put those thoughts into action.

CTC 20 - Use Blendabilities and Framelits

"Did you know that during SALE-A-BRATION (SAB) you can choose a Blendabilities assortment as your free item with a $90 (AUD)/$110 (NZD) purchase?"  I used Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities on my card and chose the Window Frames for the second part of the challenge (to use Framelits).

The challenge to use Blendabilties and Framelits in your paper craft project is inspired by the card on page 18 of the SALE-A-BRATION catalogue.
Why don't you grab our CTC #20 Challenge Badge and play along this week!

'Big Day' Centre Panel Easel Card
I first made this style of easel card almost 3 years ago and you can see the full tutorial HERE.

Here's the measurements and a quick look at how the base is constructed -

My Original SU Centre Panel Easel Card -

Today's card uses the SAB 'Big Day Stamp Set' which is free with a $90 (AUD) Stampin' Up! ® order (only until the end of March).  I added some new pom pom and sequin trims and the very fun and festive, Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper, all from the new Occasions Catalogue.

I hope you can join us this week at CASE-ing the Catty.  Get out your 'Blendies' and Framelits and make something awesome!

Romantic Roses for The Card Concept

Hi there.  Welcome to addINKtive designs.  I'm entering this card that I made today in the latest challenge at The Card ConceptMy sister wanted me to make a wedding card to give to her ex-sponsor child in Indonesia, so I went in search of a starting point and just loved the colour palette and photo inspiration for CC#28.

Shabby Chic (Vintage) Style

The card has a closure made from the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch with a pocket inside for a gift card or letter. The butterfly was cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and coloured with the darkest shade from the Pink Pirouette Blendabilities.

The Card Concept have a variety of card 'styles' that the DT use to inspire.  I think mine falls into the Shabby Chic/Vintage style.

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #18 - Occasions Birthday

Hi there.  Welcome to addINKtive designs and another challenge at CASE-ing the Catty.  This week we are looking at the Birthday section of the Occasions Catalogue for inspiration.
It's pretty obvious that I have CASED the project featured on the bottom right hand corner of page 10.  The Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets, Celebrate Today Stamps and Balloon Framelit Dies were still sitting on my desk from the last crafting session, so this was a quick and easy choice for me, especially because I have 'hit the ground running' since going back to work.

I love the versatility of the washi sheets used with dies as they 'jazz up' mason jars, milk bottles, acetate etc. There are so many possibilities.
Why don't you join us at CTC this week?  There's so much inspiration in the Birthday section.  We are also on the lookout for Guest Designers!

The Stamp Review Crew - Celebrate Today

Welcome to The Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the stamp set, CELEBRATE TODAY.  I'm excited to share my projects with you.  They are the last ones completed over the summer holiday break as I am back at work today. I hope the schedule goes to plan :)

If you get 'lost' along the way you can click on the image below and it will take you to the SRC Blog where you will see a list of all the 'crew' that are participating this week  -

Celebrate Today is a brand new photopolymer stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue and if you purchase the Balloon Framelits Dies as a 'bundle' you save 15% off the total cost.

Bundle - #138869

I had a lot of fun inking some of the stamps from this very cute set and using the Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets (which are featured on the same page in the catty) to make two projects to share with you today.

1. Birthday Owl Card
Everyone loves their owl punch and I absolutely love the MDS (My Digital Studio) version that you can download and combine with an e-cutter to make lots of different, quirky, owl characters.  I added MDS bird punch wings for the first time to hold the party balloon.

To make the balloon, I stamped the stars and circle stamp with Versa Mark Ink onto some washi sheet and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The washi was then stuck to a small piece of Window Sheet (acetate) and cut out with the Balloon Framelit with the Big Shot machine.  The White Baker's Twine was attached to a thin strip of acetate with some Sticky Strip and wrapped around the owl's wing.  A little Glue Dot was used to stick the balloon to the ear to make it stand upright without folding over.

 2. Happy 18th Badge
This birthday badge is made by gluing several layers of balloons together, cut from Coastal Cabana Card stock using the Balloon Framelit Die.  The sentiment was stamped with black ink on Whisper White Card stock covered with some Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheet.  A badge pin was adhered to the back of the badge with some Crystal Effects. The '18th' is actually from the PL Day to Day Stamp Set.  I think the rest is fairly self explanatory.

Thanks for hopping along to see The Stamp Review Crew Celebrate Today!
