Hello ... It's Me ...

Image
... I was wondering if you would like to see ... what the next challenge at The Colour Tree will be? #TCTC7 If you have been following my little journey with The Colour Tree , you will know that I love the addition of 'Gold' to a colour combo!  It's been a bit of a fad.  This time around I was also keen to try the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder with the coordinating mask from Happy Patterns .  The simple layout is a CASE from a Stampin' Success Magazine but I decided to use a rose instead of a butterfly as I have made a few butterfly cards lately.       I hope you can join in with the latest challenge by linking up your project in the TCT Gallery . SUO 93 - Boxes, Bags and Baskets

Image
I'm back!  Phew ... it has been a whole fortnight since I've posted a project!  I've certainly had plenty of time to think about what I was going to make for this Boxes, Bags and Baskets Challenge for SUO but have been away on a relaxing holiday with hubby and only just arrived home on Sunday night. I loved having a break and we had a very special time eating out, snorkelling in the Barrier Reef, sight seeing in and around Port Douglas (far North Queensland), shopping, reading and relaxing by the resort pool but it's good to be home. It was certainly a lot of fun to get back into my craft room yesterday and make this little glamour bag in between the loads of washing and unpacking that I had to do.   A Glimmery, Gold Bag for SUO 93  Filled with Caramel Lindt Balls  Side View Empty Bag Using a piece of Fancy Foil Designer Vellum , I followed a Mini Bag Tutorial from Silvey's Craftroom then added a 3/4" x 4 1/2" Gold Foil edge,...

The AddINKtive Designers

I got to have my first 'team' craft night on Monday and two of my down line came along to make a SAB card (previous post) , view the new pre-order goodies from the Occasions and SALE-A-BRATION Catalogues and get to generally hang out, craft, chat, eat, drink and enjoy each other's company. Jo's Stash After we had finished the Make 'n' Take , De Arn and Jo had the opportunity to have a bit of a 'free play' with some new and old products.  Jo wanted to learn how to emboss on Vellum Card Stock so we stamped one of the beautiful ' Festive Flurry ' stamps with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder .  Then we just couldn't resist having a play with the retired Cherry Scented EP - yum! Next, the Spiral Flower Die got a work out and Crystal Effects was added to the paper rose to form the 'dewdrops'.  Lastly, both ladies wanted to make their very own SAB Owl from various punches and the Top N...

Dew Drops On Roses

Image
I got a chance to play with the new Spiral Flower Die today (release date 28th January).  A bit of sponging on the petals and the addition of Crystal Effects for the dew drops, just brings this paper rose to life ( Cherry Cobbler Card Stock ). A little easel style card was created using one of the gorgeous Chalk Talk Stamps and matching Framelits ( White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Card Stock ). It would make a very classy place card for a wedding don't you think? The leaves were stamped in Garden Green ( Fabulous Florets ) and fussy cut. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button was attached with a glue dot to prop up the easel.  I can see that this new Spiral Flower Die will certainly be getting a work out from me.    For Stampin' Up! ® supplies, 24/7, make sure you check out my on-line shop -
