CASEing the Sale-A-Bration Catty - #CTC64

Image
Hi there!  Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Night Blog Hop .  This round we are CASEing (copying and selectively editing) something that takes our interest from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue . The card that I am sharing tonight is not really my usual style - I rarely do masculine cards or cards that are 'flat' or quick and easy to make.  I usually do pretty, feminine, 3D and complicated! ... LOL My downline, De Arn, lent me this SAB set, Sky is the Limit and lots of other new sets and dies for a week over the summer break; so I made the most of the opportunity and whipped up quite a few cards in that time. I will return the favour very soon as I'm now a busy bee back at work for the start of a new school year. For my card I CASED the layout on page 18 (Hello card with Butterflies) and used the colour combo on page 16 - Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Black . Thanks so much for hopping by and supporting the CTC Blog Hop! Up next is Tricia...

Flowering Fields - A Free Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set

Image
Yep, you read that right .. it's FREE! Last night I made a gift box using a brand new Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Brations stamp set - I'm in LOVE with the line art images from Flowering Fields .  The gift box was CASED from our demonstrator magazine called Stampin' Success and I then I made a matching card.  The best bit is that I got to hang out with one of my team members and we spent an evening checking out all the new goodies from the new Occasions and SAB Catalogues that we had acquired in the pre-order time for demonstrators.  My good friend, De Arn even left five stamp sets and two dies sets for me to play with while she and her family spend the next few days camping.  I know I will return the favour when she gets back from her holiday. Keep reading if you would like to know how you can get your hands on this gorgeous set and/or lots of other FREE stuff during Sale-a-Bration!    Can you spy some other goodies on the cover of the new SAB Catty...

Awesomely Artistic Slider Card

Image
Just in case you hadn't noticed, The Gold Trend is very popular in paper craft at the moment and Just Us Girls' Challenge this week is to " incorporate gold somewhere on your card and/or project ".  I jumped right in as I have wanted to see what Gold Glitter mixed with Crystal Effects would look like painted onto an image with a fine brush (I have done this technique with Dazzling Diamond s before). All I can say is, I love the way it turned out; so sparkly!    As you can see this is a slider card and the base was made at the Interactive Card Class I went to last week that two of my down line ran.  Jo demonstrated this technique and would you believe that this is the first time I have made a card like this!  Crazy, right? ... considering it's like an easel card :)  I didn't stay late to finish it as I wanted to use a more girly stamp set and make a thank you card for a friend; I was itching to ink up Awesomely Artistic after seeing so many be...

I really enjoy being a part of the Stamp Review Crew.   This week we are featuring the stamp set, Sheltering Tree and it's the first time I've inked it up since purchasing it a few weeks ago.  Wow! did I have fun.  I am in love with the versatility of this set and all the cute little images that go together to create a variety of scenes for all seasons. If you get lost on the Blog Hop just click the image below and it will take you to the main blog with all the links -  Photopolymer Stamp Set - Sheltering Tree Sample 1 - Acetate and Tissue Technique The layout for this card was inspired by a beautiful Christmas card spotted on Pinterest which was made by Melissa Banbury (Porch Swing Creations). Here's a close up of the Glitter and Dazzling Diamonds mixed in with the Crystal Effects and Pool Party Re-in...
