My Favourites for 2015

Image
Wow!  It's that time of the year again where I do a little pictorial round up of my favourite projects for 2015.   This year was an exciting one with me joining The Stamp Review Crew Blog Hops as well as posting The Colour Tree inspirational posts every Sunday night. I'm looking forward to hosting TCT as a colour challenge site next year and the first one kicks off on Sunday, 10th January, 2016. Even more exciting news is that I am rejoining CASEing the Catty Sunday N ight B log H ops on that night as well.  Woo hoo! Thanks for stopping by ... An Oriental Themed Card in a Box for My Sister's Birthday

Image
Hi there.  Welcome to my blog.  Today I'm entering a challenge over at Seize the Birthday . They always have an 'anything goes' challenge for birthdays in general or you can choose to go along with a 'topping' , which this week is to use the colours, red and white . I've spent a few sessions over the last 3 days putting this card together for my sister's birthday which is on January 1st.  I always think it's pretty cool that every year the whole world waits up for her birthday to happen! My sister's town house has an oriental theme and all her decor is in red, white, black and silver.  She doesn't understand why I spend so long making cards as they only get 'thrown away' (gasp!) and she always tells me I should put my energy into making home decor pieces or practical items that last.  Well, I have made sure this one won't end up in the bin (I hope) as I have made a card/home decor piece/gift card holder all in one! The Stamp Review Crew - Festival of Trees

Image
Welcome to the Festival of Trees Stamp Review Blog Hop .   We are a group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators that showcase a different stamp set every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.  One stamp set ... so many ideas! It's been a while since I joined in with the crew as I don't buy a lot of Christmas stamps but the Festival of Trees set is in the annual catalogue and I had it in my stash from last year. Bonus!  I'm really looking forward to hopping along this round to see the variety of ideas for such a cute holiday stamp set. If you get lost along the hop, just click on the banner below to see the order of participants for this round - I only have one card to share with you today as it's that crazy time of the year and the weather has been incredibly HOT.  I made a flying easel card for a good friend who recently invited a few of us around for Christmas celebrations at her place.  I popped in a Village Cinemas Gift Card inside the vel...

CASEing Six-Sided Sampler for The Colour Tree

Image
Hi there.  I hope you have found some great colour inspiration at The Colour Tree every Sunday night.  Here's a round up of the Christmas combos I have posted over the last few weeks. I needed to make a few thank you cards to accompany some appreciation gifts for our volunteers at work to give out at Presentation Night last week. The Stampin' Up! Catalogue has some great design ideas and I chose to CASE the beautiful sample on page 105 of the current annual catty.                     On the 10th of January 2016, The Colour Tree will return with a new look and I will be hosting a weekly colour challenge where you can ... Ink Up ... Link Up for a chance to be in TCTC Top 3 Picks! See you then.
