Mother's Day Blog Hop for CASEing the Catty

Image
It's good to be back in the blog hop at CASEing the Catty this week!  It's been awhile since I've joined in and I'm really pleased that I had a bit of time to craft this week and to share the card that I have made for my mum for Mother's Day.  It's a Teacup Easel Card with an 'orchid'. Inspiration came from page 34 of the Occasion's Catalogue -    CTC 75 and #tgifc52 - Mother's Day This card is constructed in a similar way to the one I designed in 2012.  You can view the detailed tutorial HERE and then follow the mini photo tutorial below to see how I adapted it for Stampin' Up! products and accessories only. This SU Bundle is on the retiring list so get in quick before it's sells out!   A Nice Cuppa - Photopolymer Bundle ($67.00 AUD) I'm also linking up my card to TGIF Challenges as their theme is Mother's Day - #tgifc52    Tea Cup Easel Card Mini Photo Tutorial by...

Paper Succulents made from Stampin' Up! Punches and Dies

Image
Succulents are the latest trend in Home Decor ; you can spot them in just about every gift shop - real ones, plastic or felt replicas, pictures, stationery items etc. ... so it made perfect sense to create some paper ones with Stampin' Up! supplies. After a bit of a search on Pinterest , I came across a great tutorial by Allison Okamitsu . I decided to CASE all her gorgeous samples and only changed the colour for one of them.  Wow! I am totally hooked on paper succulents. Thanks for the creative inspiration, Allison.  I even added a little one of my 'own' to the bowl and can see myself making a few more in the not too distant future.  The grey bowl and rocks were purchased from Spotlight (Australia). Make sure you check out Allison's tutorial for inspiration.  I have included the 'recipe' below for easy reference - 1.  Flower Fair Framelits Die, Mossy Meadow Card Stock and Ink, Gorgeous Grunge Stamp - Cut 5 2.  Fun Flower Punch, Pear P...

The Colour Tree's Top Pick for Challenge #12

Image
Hi and welcome to addINKtive designs!  It's time to announce the Top Pick for the twelfth challenge at The Colour Tree .  A big thank you to everyone that linked up during the month of March. Congratulations to Helen from Crafty Helen who has made this very arty Get Well Card - I love the watercoloured pennant, the collage stamping in the background and how she has combined the colours from the latest combo - such a gorgeous card. Helen, here's a Top Pick Badge for your blog -   Just letting my blog readers know that I will be taking a break from hosting The Colour Tree Challenges ; I don't seem to get a lot of time to craft these days and have opted out from all my regular Design Team commitments for now.  When holidays rock around I'm hoping to focus my attention on writing some more paper craft tutorials as I have quite a few ideas that haven't been published yet.   If you're looking for some more colour inspiration this w...
