Today for the Pinks and Purples Challenge at SUO , I have made a Tea Cup Easel Card using a combination of MDS and traditional stamps, punches, inks and dies.   A Tea Cup Easel Card for SUO 92 Here's a 'guide' to how I made my Teapot Easel Card.  It doesn't go into great detail but I hope you can work it out from the series of photos. The tea cup base of the card was designed in My Digital Studio using the floral tea cup brush stamp and label, printed out and then fussy cut (see below for 'hybrid' pieces).  Sticky Strip was added to the front section of the card so the single tea cup could be attached to form a pocket.   The 'saucer' was cut out from Wisteria Wonder card stock using the largest circle die. I got a chance to play with the new Spiral Flower Die today (release date 28th January).  A bit of sponging on the petals and the addition of Crystal Effects for the dew drops, just brings this paper rose to life ( Cherry Cobbler Card Stock ). A little easel style card was created using one of the gorgeous Chalk Talk Stamps and matching Framelits ( White Embossing Powder on Basic Black Card Stock ). It would make a very classy place card for a wedding don't you think? The leaves were stamped in Garden Green ( Fabulous Florets ) and fussy cut. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button was attached with a glue dot to prop up the easel.  I can see that this new Spiral Flower Die will certainly be getting a work out from me.    For Stampin' Up! ® supplies, 24/7, make sure you check out my on-line shop - 

Most of the weekend we had time to do our own 'thing' but it was great to have a couple of Make 'n' Takes to break things up a bit.  On Saturday, Kim demonstrated this cool little box which you can make from a piece of 12X12 DSP and it doesn't require adhesive! We got to use the beautiful Modern Medley DSP and the belly band was made from the Chalk Talk Stamp Set, matching dies and gorgeous Silver Glimmer Paper . Thanks Kim for a fun, rainy day project.
