It's Easter Time for SUO 94

Image
Hi.  This week at SUO Challenges   we are featuring Easter projects . I've made a very simple Easter Egg Card to match the bag that I made for the last challenge.  An Easter Egg Card A cutting file was made from an egg shaped template to make the card base from Wisteria Wonder Card Stock.  The overlay was cut from Fancy Foil Designer Vellum .  The 'ribbon' strips are 3/4" wide and cut from Gold Foil , complete with a bow e-cut from the Tags For All Digital Kit . There's only a small amount of stamping involved in the making of this card - 'Happy Easter' from Teeny Tiny Sentiments was stamped directly onto the vellum with Black Staz-On Ink and the centre of the bow is stamped from the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and finshed off with a Basic Pearl . I hope you will play along over the next fortnight and share your SUO Easter projects with us. Design Team Blogs - SUO Challenge Blog Bronwyn Eastley Connie Babbert Deena Boos Julie ...

Still addINKtive Challenges # 1 - Sketch and Colour

Image
Yay!  The day has finally arrived for our very first challenge at still addINKtive.   This week I have designed the sketch and chosen the colour combo to get things rolling.   I was excited to get back into my craft room a few days ago and surprisingly enough no major pieces ended up in the bin in the process.  Gotta love that!  I used the cute SU set called Papillon Potpourri , along with the matching punch. s.a. challenges # 1 - Doily Papillon Potpourri Here's the very first sketch and colour combo - http://stilladdinktive.blogspot.com It might have been a good idea to check my card stock supplies before choosing the colours, as I only managed to find one retired piece of textured Wild Wasabi.  Needless to say, I have now put in another order for supplies and am eagerly awaiting my free SAB pre-order (My first SU digital disc) - that should be fun!   Project Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Papillon Potpourri, T...

With Sympathy

Image
With Sympathy (JAI 143 - Colour Challenge) I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend who's mother passed away at the grand old age of 100 years + 3 days.  She and her hubby went all the way to the USA for the big birthday party but ended up spending most of the time at her mother's bed side, in intensive care, on that special day. ................................................................................. I  already had an idea for a very CAS layout for a sympathy card but I needed some colour inspiration.  I saw the combo at Just Add Ink and thought, why not? Here's the Project Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Creative Elements, Teeny Tiny Sentiments Ink:   Sahara Sand, Early Espresso Card Stock:  Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand, Marina Mist Accessories:   Square Lattice EF, Basic Pearls, Bitty Banners Framelits, Stamping Sponges, Dimensionals Thanks for stopping by,

Butterflies for Mother's Day

Image
These are commissioned cards that a friend of mine asked me to make her for Mother's Day.  She loved the doily cards I made about a month ago and wanted a similar design.  Freshly Made Sketches #30 It just so happens that Tui's Sketch was perfect for the task so I decided to include another entry for the week.      Mother's Day Butterfly in Marina Mist with Beau Chateau DSP.    Mother's Day Butterfly in Melon Mambo with Flirtatious Speciality DSP. Butterfly Die is from Marianne Design Creatables and DSP, from SU.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mum's Tea Cup Easel Card

Image
High Tea for Mother's Day  JAI 112 - Colour Challenge   There is an absolutely scrumptious colour challenge at JUST ADD INK and the combo was perfect for this little tea cup easel card that I designed. I've had this idea in my head for weeks and thought a card for my mum for Mother's Day would suit the design rather well (She's mostly a coffee drinker but does love her fine china).  I'm my own worst critic but I must admit that I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  However, I still  need to tweak it a bit before I write a tutorial so stay 'tuned'.  The Gorgeous Colour Combo    A Bird's Eye View Project Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Tiny Tags Card Stock and Ink: same as challenge colours Accessories:  English Tea Party Lace Doily Die (Cheery Lynn Designs), Tea Cup and Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Bird Die from a Marianne Design Creatables Set, Word...
