Image
Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs.  As it's only less than a week until Good Friday, CASE-ing the Catty Challenges are looking at the  Easter section of the Occasions Catalogue (page 34 and 35)  for our challenge inspiration this week. You can directly CASE a project (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations.  Or simply use some new Stampin' Up! Easter supplies from the Occasions Catalogue. CTC 24 will run for two weeks over the holiday period and the linky will be open until Thursday 9th April. We really hope you can join us in the gallery and showcase your Easter projects. Here's my project for CTC 24 - Let's Celebrate Easter     The basket is cut from the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (SAB) with the new Berry Basket Die and sponged with Soft Sky Ink . Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs .  JAI 255 and CTC 23 I was inspired to play along with the latest challenge at Just Add Ink to Just Add Eggs or Ovals   because I was planning to make an Easter Egg Throne Box  today and as you can see, that contains both an oval and an egg.  Bonus!  When I was trying to decide on the embellishments etc., I opted to use a combination of SALE-A-BRATION and Occasions stamps and accessories , to fit in with the challenge at CASE-ing the Catty and join in on my 'off' week.  Double bonus!!   SAB Goodies:   In Colour Accessory Pack (Thick Baker's Twine and Small Designer Buttons), Stamp Set - Lotus Blossom Occasions Catalogue Items:   Stamp Sets - Painted Petals and Butterfly Basics, Sahara Sand Lace Trim, Ornate Tag Topper Punch      I made about 20 of these boxes last year for the staff at work and I think m...

Easter Egg Throne Box

Happy Easter! This year I wanted to make something for the staff at school (they certainly deserve a treat) plus, I don't have a class of my own to 'spoil' or to do Easter craft with  I came across this awesome You Tube Tutorial by Connie Stewart via Pinterest and modified the design a little because I needed to make 20! Easter Egg Throne Boxes     Don't forget to link up your Easter Projects at SUO Challenges this week! Thankfully my friend (and down-line) came around on Monday night and helped cut the ribbon and assemble most of the little 'thrones' for the bottom section of each box while we chatted and drank Mochas. Thanks, Candice. You are such a blessing in many, many ways.  The Production Line     Ta Dah! It's Easter Time for SUO 94

Image
Hi.  This week at SUO Challenges   we are featuring Easter projects . I've made a very simple Easter Egg Card to match the bag that I made for the last challenge.  An Easter Egg Card A cutting file was made from an egg shaped template to make the card base from Wisteria Wonder Card Stock.  The overlay was cut from Fancy Foil Designer Vellum .  The 'ribbon' strips are 3/4" wide and cut from Gold Foil , complete with a bow e-cut from the Tags For All Digital Kit . There's only a small amount of stamping involved in the making of this card - 'Happy Easter' from Teeny Tiny Sentiments was stamped directly onto the vellum with Black Staz-On Ink and the centre of the bow is stamped from the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and finshed off with a Basic Pearl . I hope you will play along over the next fortnight and share your SUO Easter projects with us. Design Team Blogs - SUO Challenge Blog Bronwyn Eastley Connie Babbert Deena Boos Julie ...

Just Add ... Easter for JAI 111

Image
JAI 111 - Just Add Easter ... ... with an Easter Basket Card. After spending time crafting with Mae and Tania over the weekend, I was feeling a little sentimental so I decided to join in with the latest challenge at Just Add Ink which is to make an Easter inspired project. I spotted a new use for my PTI cupcake die on Rebekah Faries' blog - Midnite Lullabies (The Shabby Tea Room DT).  She had made it into an Easter basket.  What a brilliant idea!  The last time I used this die it was for a Christmas Pudding shaped card - so versatile. If you're looking for some great Easter inspiration, you should hop on over to JAI, be inspired by the gorgeous DT creations and join in the fun! Here's What I Used:   Card Stock:  Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard (SU), Basket Weave paper purchased from Regal Craft. Ink:   Pool Party sponged over embossing with sponge dauber Accessories:  PTI Cupcake Die, Early Songbird EF (Coutu...

Rabbit Egg

Image
Rabbit Egg Recently I spied a cute little rabbit egg on Pinterest and decided to make one using SU's Blossom Petals Builder Punch. The teeth were cut free hand, some scribble added with a black marker, googly eyes attached and a 3/4" circle cut for the base so the 'rabbit' can stand alone. Happy crafting,

Rules of Chocolate

Image
If you're starting to feel a tad guilty about eating copious amounts of chocolate over the Easter Break, don't worry because I've just discovered the 'Rules of Chocolate' . I'm pretty sure that after you read them, you're going to sleep a whole lot better tonight knowing full well that you haven't 'broken' any of the rules. RULES OF CHOCOLATE If you've got melted chocolate on your hands, you're eating it too slowly. Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as much as you want. Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less. If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves. You are eating a balanced diet if you eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate. Chocolate contains preserv...
