MDS e-Cut Babushka Doll

Image
Do you remember those cute little Babushka Dolls made from the owl punch and a few other SU punches?  Well ... this is the digital, enlarged version which I have made into a card.    The digital punches (owl, wide oval, scallop oval, circle) from MDS were imported into my Silhouette Studio (Designer Edition) . The main pieces were cut out with my e-Cutter (Silhouette Cameo). The hand held Scallop Oval Punch was used for the 'hair' and the eyes were punched from the Itty Bitty Circle Punch.   The cheeks were sponge daubed with Blush Blossom Ink (retired) and I drew the mouth using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker .  The DSP is Gingham Garden (release date, July 2nd). I designed the template for the Babushka Doll at the weekend and was itching to cut it out to see if it all the pieces worked together.  Yay! they did.  It was a nice little break from report writing and portfolios. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. PS:...

Little Additions Bear

Image
I've been having so much fun lately combining MDS and my e-Cutter to make fun shaped cards.  I'm back today with a card that I made using the digital stamp, Little Additions Bear . From this ...   ... to this! The card shape was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo .  I have used the new, soon to be released, Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock for the card base and added some punched shapes from Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight DSP and Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black Card Stock . Punches Used:  Itty Bitty Shapes Circle, 1/2" Circle, Small Oval, XL Oval, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle and the small heart from a retired punch. Here's another example I did a while back - It's a tad addictive and a quick way to make a card if you're pressed for time! Thanks for stopping by,

'B' is for Birthday, Beautiful New In Colours and Stamps

Image
I've really enjoyed the long weekend and have realised just how much I miss having a three day weekend all the time.  I've been happily playing in my craft room today but it will be back to reality tomorrow!  Mid-year assessments and reports are looming ... sigh! Here's a card I made to highlight the gorgeous new, soon to be released, In Colours and Hostess Stamp Sets . My latest fad is to use digital punches to make fun shaped cards.  This time I have enlarged the letter 'B' punch from 'Timeless Type - Junior Alphabet' and turned it into a cutting file to use with my Silhouette Cameo (Designer Edition). From this ... ... to this! The 'B' is cut from Very Vanilla Card Stock and I have stamped a variety of images from the new Hostess Sets, Morning Meadow and Banner Greetings (release date - July 2nd). The new In Colours are really pretty.  I love every one of them and will need to order more card stock very soon, espec...

Owl Swaps

Image
I had a few catch up swaps to make and I thought I would wait until my pre-order arrived so I could use some new DSP! Here's a few owl cards made from the new 'Gingham Garden' Designer Series Paper (available early July). They are made from the Two-Step Owl Punch, Digital Download and cut out with my Silhouette Cameo (e- Cutter). I love the 'country' look of this gorgeous, new DSP and I added the edge of a Tea Lace Doily to each owl to make a little apron. If you would like to learn how to make these, I have a tutorial available for purchase .  For $4 you get a four page pdf document which will be emailed to you.  It has easy to follow, step by step, clear instructions with accompanying photos  (I used my Silhouette Studio, Designer Edition). Thanks so much for stopping by,

Summer Silhouettes at still addINKtive

Image
This is just a quick update to let you know that still add INK tive is up and running again.  I hesitate calling it a challenge blog because it is best described as a 'home' for a collection of inspiring projects that feature Stampin' Up! stamp sets and/or accessories. This week I have brought back, 'Spot that Stamp Set' and we are featuring, 'Summer Silhouettes'. I absolutely love the images in the set and so glad it is staying on in the new catalogue which will be released on the 2nd of July, here in Australia. I had better not spend much more time on the internet as I have a craft room to finish tidying and need to unpack and ink up some new pre-order goodies if I get the chance. For any SU supplies, please click on the link below to take you to my on-line store.       Thanks for stopping by,

Canberra

Image
Hi!  Just wanted to share some photos of our trip to Canberra last weekend. I missed out on the SU Convention in Brisbane but was really happy to finally meet these two gorgeous stamping friends. Hubby wanted to go to the Australian National Sound and Film Archives Museum and so I arranged to meet up with Debbie and Patrice at the cafe for some coffee and cake. Even though we had never 'met', all three of us had plenty of laughs and lots to talk about. I've been following Deb's blog ever since I saw her share some of her gorgeous 'Russian Doll' punch art made from the owl punch and now she does lots of whizz bang stuff with MDS, so of course we had plenty of stuff to talk about!  Patrice , of course, is my long time friend from Just Add Ink days and it was SO good to finally catch up.  I feel truly blessed to have met these gorgeous girls through our connection with Stampin' Up!Ā®.
