Stampin' Up! In Colours Planter Box Card

Image
Only two more sleeps until the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue goes live and that means a brand new palette of In Colours to create with. I'm holding a Planter Box Card Class and mini catty launch this Thursday night with a small group of ladies, so naturally I chose to play with the new In Colours.    The base was constructed from Kraft Card Stock and stamped with the Hardwood Background Stamp (Soft Suede Ink).  All other accessories are listed below this post in the Labels Section.           Here's a round up of the Planter Box Cards I have made so far (Yes, I am a tad obsessed) -             Visit My Tutorials For Sale page to purchase my Spring Planter Box Tutorial. CASEing the Catty Blog Hop - Favourite Retiring Products

Image
It's Sunday night and that means another blog hop from the crew at CASEing the Catty!   This week we're choosing our FAVOURITE RETIRING PRODUCT and saying a fond farewell to the 2015/2016 Annual and 2016 Occasions Catalogues . Next week we'll be back with projects CASED (Copied and selectively edited) from the brand new catty!  Eeek! I can hardly wait.     For CTC 80 I've chosen to CASE the gorgeous card from the Hostess Section of the annual catty.  It's on page 181 and features the beautiful big bloom from the Best Thoughts Stamp Set . I only made a few subtle changes as I loved the design and choice of colours.  I did try the flower with Blackberry Bliss Ink at first but decided Calypso Coral looked much better.  The concept design artists at Stampin' Up! are so talented. Speaking of talent, not only are we saying goodbye to some products but the CTC Crew are farewelling Helen too.  No doubt she will keep blogging and sh...

Oh my goodness ... a new Stampin' Up! Catalogue will be released next week and you are going to love the new dies!   As a demonstrator I had the awesome privilege of ordering some new products a month before the catty goes live. These Swirly Scribbles Thinlits were high on my wish list; the creative ideas are limitless.  Today was the first chance I've had to play with some new goodies (been interstate for work) and as I was looking at the thinlits shapes, an owl just popped into my head and this is the result -    Thanks for stopping by,

#imbringingbirthdaysback Stamp-a-Stack

Image
On Thursday night I headed off to a Stamp-a-stack that my lovely up-line was holding at a friend's house and got to make 10 cards in one sitting!  That is a massive achievement for me as it usually takes me all evening to make a single card.  However, Stamp-a-stacks are all about simplicity and I really enjoyed the projects and the company. #1 - Clean and Simple Sunbursts   The cute clouds were fussy cut from the Shine On Specialty DSP and the Shimmery White sunbursts were spritzed with Crushed Curry Ink. Thanks, Sharnee, for getting me enthused to make more cards using the Sunburst Sayings Bundle and to use my spritzer more often. Spring Colours for The Paper Players

Image
The colour challenge at The Paper Players got my attention as the Subtles Collection is my favourite SU colour group. I made a card in a box with punched Spring flowers ( Stamp Set - Beautiful Bunch ) for a friend of mine.  The recipient will be her grandmother in Canada who is turning 86 this year.     The card base is made from some specialty paper I bought from an art supplies shop in Sydney (Eckersley's Art & Craft , York Street) called paper weave and the leaves are punched from the Bird Builder Punch . Thanks for stopping by, Thanks, Claire and the DT - http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com.au/2016/05/pp294-challenge-winners.html   Thank you catluvr2 at Splitcoast Stampers -   Congratulations! In the General Stamping forum, you're in the FAVORITES for the week ending May 15. See post #68.

Spring Flowers for the Card Concept

Image
I love making 3D cards, I love a fun Card Challenge and I love the fact that my craft area has moved to a spare room inside the house. I've set up a comfortable, clean and tidy, organized space where it's warm and cozy and I have left the mess of the converted garage/rumpus room behind.  My mojo is back and I have spent some of Mother's Day in my 'happy place' making a birthday card for a friend. Freestyle Collage for the Card Concept #54     The Card Concept Challenge Blog has a Spring Flowers' Theme , my new Flower Patch stamps needed to see some ink, my friend loves purple and I wanted to try out a new idea for a card in a box base ... so here's the finished project -     Mini Tutorial A Card in a Box made from Stampin' Up!'s Ā® Gift Card Envelope Thinlits ...     ... and embellished with Flower Patch Photopolymer Bundle .   1.  Die cut two gift card envelopes and trim off the wider flaps at ...
