When I saw the candy canes, I immediately knew that I had to make another little punch art Candy Cane Mouse that I created last year for Christmas. I was wondering what to pop him on and saw the Big Shot Challenge at the SUO Blog and decided to make a Scallop Envelope Christmas Box and fill it up with a cellophane bag full of miniature Candy Canes.
You can find my FREE TUTORIAL for the mouse HERE. The only thing that I changed this time around was that I used the Butterfly Punch for his ears and the eyes were made from the Owl Punch.
The box is made from two scallop envelopes with a cardboard strip through the middle which measures 1 1/2 " X 7 3/4 " and is scored at 2 1/4" both ends.
Project Recipe:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Accessories: Scallop Envelope Die, Big Shot, Medium Cellophane Bag, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Ski Slope DSP (Retired), Slit Punch (retired), Butterfly, Wide Oval and Heart to Heart Punches, Two-Step Owl and Bird Punches, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Small Candy Canes
