A Camera Card and Mini Album - Digital Punch Art

Image
It's always fun to join in with a challenge when I get the chance and this week I've decided to play along at Dynamic Duos .  The 'colour' palette is Crumb Cake and Basic Black with Wet Embossing as the 'Dessert Option' .  Camera Card and Mini Album I'm really quite excited about this project as I designed the card and album using Digital Punches from MDS (My Digital Studio).  I've seen some cute punch art cameras and thought I'd try my hand at a digital version.  The 'punches' were combined to form a template, made into a cutting file in my Silhouette Studio and cut out with a Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter.  The camera shape is based on one of the designs from the 'I Am Me' suite (DSP) - SU.   You can see what digital punches I used in the last photo in this post.     Camera Card The sentiment is from the stamp set, Happy Day (SU) and has been embossed with white embossing powder. What's New and Very Exciting?

Firstly, it's Tuesday and that means New Digital Downloads!   I was pretty excited to see these on offer while I was having my morning cuppa - There are so many ideas ticking around in my head especially for the digital punches :)  I can hardly contain myself! Secondly, there's some new SINGLE Christmas stamps on offer.  They are just so gorgeous and I'm thinking that I may actually get some Christmas stamping done this year! Thirdly, this beautiful Butterfly Bundle is still available for another couple of weeks.  What a saving! I don't often get really 'pumped' about the specials and new promotions but if you hadn't noticed, I'm totally ecstatic about the latest offerings and couldn't wait to share them with you. Inspired?  Why don't you check out my on-line store for the entire range of gorgeous products from Stampin' Up! ®.  My customers receive a free tutorial with every order :)  For on-line orders please enter th...

Digital Punch Art - My Favourite Technique for SUO Challenges

Image
What's my favourite technique at the moment?  The answer would have to be designing little owl characters using digital punches from MDS (Digital Punch Art). All week I have been playing on my laptop (after work of course) and have been designing quite a few owl cards (mostly pirates). Today I decided to cut out and assemble my little Red Indian Owl as I was anxious  to see what it looked like in real life and not just on a computer screen.  I must admit that I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.  The challenge at SUO Challenges #79 is to "create a project using your favourite technique.  What's the technique that you use that makes you smile the most when you're working on or have completed a project?" My owl cards certainly bring a smile to my face every time I make one.  They are a bit addictive at the moment. SUO Challenges #79 - Your Favourite Technique    Digital Punch Art      Proje...

MDS e-Cut Pirate Owl Cards

Image
I've seen lots of little Pirate Owls made from SU's Owl Punch and decided I would design a card using the Owl Punch digital download from MDS and my Silhouette Cameo .  I'm not sure who came up with the original idea for the head gear but I want to thank them for their amazing creativity!!  The pirate vests, however, are my own design.  I just love how these pirate owls turned out. My new down-line came around to play in my craft room and she made the First Mate and I made the Pirate Captain .  We were both pretty pleased with the end result.  The wooden leg is made using the candle from the Cupcake Punch digital download. Oh! the possibilities.  There are plenty more designs sitting there ready to cut out and assemble.  I can't wait until the weekend so I can share some more ideas with you. Thanks for stopping by,

Sharnee's Owl Card/Gift Bag

Image
I received a lot of beautiful birthday cards last week but there was one in particular that I wanted to share with you.  Isn't this cute owl card/gift bag that I received from my up-line, Sharnee Torrents , absolutely adorable?  I love, love, love the colour combo and the cuteness factor scores a ten out of ten in my book!  Thanks, Sharnee, for the happy mail. It brought a huge smile to my dial.

Whooo Whooo Won the In Colour Owl Card Kit?

Image
Drum roll please ... After collating all the new 'Likers' on my Facebook page and on the post, the comments here and on Stampin' Connection, I finally have two winners - one Aussie resident who has won the following card kit and one International visitor that has won any three of my tutorials.  My son helped out with the draw as he was my 'Random Org' and had no idea why he needed to pick numbers out for me!!     So ... congratulations to Anne Sturt from Adelaide, South Australia, who has won the card kit and to Paula Reid from New Zealand who has won the tutorials.    I was really pleased with the response and will be putting together more kits to give away in the near future.  The next one will be a Butterfly Easel Kit!   Thanks so much for popping in to say hi over the last week.  It was great to hear from you.
