The Ombre Effect with Blendabilities for FMS 138

Image
I'm so glad this week is over as it was one of the busiest that I can recall.  Last weekend I was enjoying South Pacific Convention with friends and we were given so many new toys to play with, but there was no time for me to have any crafting fun since returning home as I was busy preparing for the School Registration Board Review Visit.   Thankfully, that was a really positive experience and today I have been chillaxing and trying out a new digital download and my Calypso Coral Blendabilities Markers (Sneak Peek). FMS 138 I created an ombre effect on the background piece of Whisper White Card Stock by colouring with the Dark , then Medium , then Light Calypso Coral Blendabilities .  The Happy Birthday sentiment is a digital download (a Sneak Peek from the Best Birthday Yet Digital Ensemble ) and was e-cut using my Silhouette Cameo .   The latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was perfect for what I wanted to do today.   Blendabilities ar...

Something Yummy for SUO 97

Image
SUO Challenges have a delicious theme this fortnight, Something Yummy   A few of us on the DT must really like our coffee as we opted to use the super cute Perfect Blend Stamp Set! SUO 97 - Something Yummy (A Coffee Bag and Gift Card Holder) Lately, I've been enjoying making some cards using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to form the closure.  This time around I flipped it to create a landscape card and added a pouch insert to hold a coffee bag and a gift voucher inside. Aren't those little leaves the cutest?  They are from the Warm Weather Woodcuts (Digital Punch - MDS) and have been e-cut and stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. The little flowers and leaves were  sitting on my craft desk left over from the production line of Convention Swaps and I'm so glad I added them to the card at the last minute as they really make it 'pop'. Here's My Project Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Perfect Blend, Petite Petals, Gorgeous Grunge Card S...

It's a Masquerade

Image
Hi.  Today I have my very first card in a box to share with you.  It was made for my son to give to his girlfriend for her 21st birthday.  She had a Masquerade Themed Party!    Masquerade Card in a Box   The card in a box and mask shapes are all Silhouette cutting files made from the beautiful Modern Medley DSP and SU card stock . I would have loved to have added some stamped party balloons etc to the layers in the box but my son's instructions were "not to make it too tizzy", so I had to comply :)  I know the birthday girl loved her special card. The following photo shows the card and box set that we gave Toni for her birthday.  It was based on this card that I made almost a month ago. This time the leaves were e-cut using a digital punch from the very cute Warm Weather Woodcuts Digital Download (MDS) - Here's a few snap shots of the birthday girl and some of our family all dressed up in Venetian Masks -  Toni ...
