SUO 102 - Favourite New Toys!

Image
Hi there!  There's a brand new challenge posted at SUO Challenges and it's all about using something 'new' from your ever growing Stampin' Up! ® stash.  Some items from my last order hadn't made their way out of the big brown box, so I had a nice little selection of  'favourite' new toys to choose from.  I made a simple black and white card with the stamp set,  'A Happy Hooray' and some paper beads with the matching DSP, 'Back to Black' .  Can't wait to use this funky stamp set again - love all the images!  SUO 102      There are 6 products from the brand new SU Catalogue that I have used on this card.  Can you spot them?  They're the first six I have listed on the Stampin' Buddy below.   I hope I have inspired you to play along with your Favourite New Toys  over at SUO.     Design Team Blogs - SUO Challenge Blog Bronwyn Eastley Connie Babbert...

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #2 - Memory Keeping

Image
For the second challenge at CASE-ing the Catty we are checking out the Memory Keeping Section of the Catalogue.  I have chosen to do a couple of journal pages using the layout featured on page 28 (bottom RHS). The idea at CTC this week is to browse through pages 24 - 41 (AUS/NZ) and find a project that you would like to re-create.   You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations. It doesn't even have to be about scrapbooking, journaling or Project Life.  For example, you can use a sketch idea for a card or 3D item. Have fun! I really enjoyed 'smashing' together some pictures of the Design Team and their first projects for CTC in my This 'n' That 'Epic Day' Journal .    What started as a 'personal' goal of mine to CASE my way through the Catty has turned into a unique SUO Challenge...

A Great Sketch + New Stamps + Kraft Cardstock = World of Dreams

Image
I absolutely LOVE the latest sketch at Just Add Ink and the fact that my BBB finally arrived (It took the scenic route with Australia Post) with all my new goodies inside. ' World of Dreams ' stamp set was at the top of my wish list and now I own it and it's been inked - yay!, along with the new Kraft Card Stock - yippee!  So ... before I went to work today, I had my craft 'fix' and made this card - JAI #223   The Truly Awesome Sketch! I really like the look of black ink on Kraft card stock and was inspired by some lovely tags I spotted on Pinterest with that neutral combination.   It was very therapeutic to finally ink up some new stamps and play along with this great sketch.  Thanks for stopping by,

De Arn's Gift Boxes

Image
Hi there.  My blog has been 'hijacked' by a good friend who also happens to be in my Stampin' Up! ® team.  De Arn asked if she could enter her gorgeous boxes into ' CASE-ing the Catty Challenges ' .  She doesn't have a blog or on-line gallery so she's popped in here to show us her latest projects. The box on the left was made with the Envelope Punch Board and the gift bag on the right is e-cut from one of the 'Cool Like That' Giftable Templates.  Inspired by a box from page 10 of the SU Catty. (Top middle) Inspired by the Cool Like That Gift Bags on page 10. Thanks for playing along at CASE-ing the Catty , De Arn :)

Each week we will focus on a different section of the catalogue and for our first challenge it's all about  'Gift and Packaging' with ideas CASED or inspired by projects from page 6 through to page 23 (AUS/NZ). Please refer to the 'What Do You Need?'  page at the beginning of your country's catalogue to see how each section is divided. The inspiration for my gift bag comes from page 20 of the AUS/NZ catty - CTC #1 - Gift Bag with Garland    ...
