CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #16 - New DSP

Image
This week at CASE-ing the Catty we are taking inspiration from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue and using some new SAB DSP or new to you, SU Designer Series Paper on our projects. There's some gorgeous new Specialty DSP in the SAB Catty called Irresistibly Yours and it can be yours for FREE with a $90 (AUD) SU order.  "This white paper with a glossy white pattern is perfect for colouring using a variety of techniques - colouring reveals the pattern".  I LOVE the stuff and have used sponge daubers with ink to create the ombre background for my card. CTC 16 - New DSP   I was inspired by the beautiful card on page 14 of the SAB Catty which uses the Irresistibly Yours DSP and the spritzing method -   Method for CTC 16 - I started off applying Marina Mist ink with a sponge dauber, followed by Pool Party then Soft Sky , blending the colours from dark to light from top to bottom of the card.  The bird images ...

Butterfly Basics Easel Card

Image
These holidays are whizzing by and I've hardly had a chance to venture into my craft room.  It has been a busy time with two trips away and visitors.  Today was the day to get my craft 'fix' and it was a very productive afternoon. One of the cards that I made was a butterfly easel card using the largest die from the Butterfly Basics Bundle.  The base of the card was 'fussy cut' after tracing around the outline of the die with a pencil.  It was worth the extra effort as it turned out better than I anticipated.           Project Recipe: Stamp Set:  Butterfly Basics Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana Ink:   Coastal Cabana, Basic Black Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber, Best Year Ever DSP (SAB), Butterflies Thinlits Dies, Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder    Butterfly Basics Clear Bundle $89.95 Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing...

Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs . I'm excited to share some Valentine projects in my first blog hop with The Stamp Review Crew .  About Us - We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who want to show you how much you can do with one stamp set. We will feature one stamp set with each blog hop, and each stop on the hop will show you a different idea using that set! However, this time around we have a Valentine theme with no particular stamp set.  It's FREE FOR ALL!   As I don't own any actual Valentine stamp sets I have decided to show you a few projects that can be made with other Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics for Colour Q

Image
Hi there.  I'm really lovin' the holiday break as I am finally getting a chance to play with a few new goodies and join in with a challenge or two. I'm doing a bit of a catch up on cards and this one's for my mum.  I had the idea for a card design so went looking for a colour combo and decided on the palette at Colour Q .  Butterfly Basics - cQc #274     Here's a mini tutorial I put together -   TUTORIAL FOR DOILY CARD 1.  Cut out two Darling Doilies (Whisper White)    2.  Fold over a section at the top of the back doily and adhere to the top of the front doily. Back   Front   3.   Cut out a circle (sixth largest circle thinlit) and cut a small section from the top for the inside of the Doily Card.     4.  Stamp an image and sentiment ( Butterfly Basics - Crumb Cake, Basic Black) on the inside piece before adhering to the card. 5...

Butterfly Basics Doily Card

Image
Here's a quick and easy card that I made using the new Butterfly Basics and co-ordinating butterfly die from the NEW Occasions Catalogue . It is CASED from a set of  Doily Cards that I made nearly three years ago which have been doing the rounds on Pinterest  lately. The butterfly die that I used back then is very similar to the dies that Stampin' Up! Ā® have just released, so I thought it would be a good idea to copy one of the original cards using SUO products.  I have used some new SALE-A-BRATION DSP called Best Year Ever which you can choose for FREE with a $90 purchase of SU products between now and the end of March. You can download all three of the current Stampin' Up! Ā® Catalogues from my side bar or visit my on-line store to purchase some goodies for yourself and take advantage of FREE SAB products.  Better yet, if you join SU during SALE-A-BRATION you get two amazing options to choose from - • Op...
