Love is Like a Butterfly ...
... a Doily Butterfly
I love butterflies because they symbolise new life and new beginnings.
I am also submitting this as a second entry for the April Challenge at Bizzy Becs which is to add texture to your paper craft project. The butterfly was die cut from a long rectangular crocheted doily that I picked up at a market for $2. It has been adhered to the backing card stock with Big Shot Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets (Sizzix). The ruffled ribbon has been woven through the punched edging.

Now, I wish I had come up with this awesome idea to punch both sides of the card front to form three separate panels. As soon as I saw this idea through Pinterest, I knew it was going to get a high priority rating on my 'To Do List'. Here's the link to the original card by Mickey Roberts that caused my little creative heart to skip a beat.
