Dynamic Duos #5

Week 5 at Dynamic Duos means a bright, bold and sassy, colour duo.  I must admit that this combo was a tad challenging for me and I nearly went with a 'Lego' inspired card for a child.  However, after purchasing a brand new stamp set, 'Three Little Birds' (Darcies), I went with a totally different idea. There's nothing like new rubber to get me motivated.

It's strange how some spontaneous stamp purchases have to be inked straight away and others that 'I just HAD to have' are still sitting on the shelf gathering dust. I'm on holidays for the next couple of weeks, with some time to spare, so I am going to have a big clean out to make room for my new Silhouette Cameo that I will need to learn to 'drive' :)  So ... stay tuned for some more stamp sets that I will soon put up for sale!

Don't Worry

Anyway, enough wafflling and on with the challenge.  This week Lesley has given us this duo to play around with -

Inspired?  I hope you are able to join us this week.  I've been overwhelmed with the response to the first month of challenges and I'm looking forward to what the next 5 months will bring.  Thank you to everyone that has left comments here and on the Dynamic Duos Blog.  I've enjoyed visiting many of the entrant's blogs and viewing the different designs.  There's so much talent out there that it makes picking a favourite a very daunting task at times.

These are both gorgeous, Bronwyn! That embossed BG is quickly becoming a favorite of mine and I just LOVE what you've created with it on these cards!
I'm with you on trying to figure out why some new things get immediate attention and others just gather dust! Let me know when you figure that one out! :)

Oh Bronwyn, these both came out beautifully! I tend to agree with you about some stamp sets needing to be inked up right away. You comment made me feel better about the piles of stamps that I just "had to have". Haha! The colors really sing on your cards withal of the wonderful details you added. Wow! Have a great day! :)
