Scallop Envelope Easel Card Tutorial

Remember the Scallop Envelope Die?  Even though it has retired, it still remains a favourite of mine.

About two and a half years ago I designed a Scallop Envelope Easel Card for a Guest Designer Gig at U Stamp with Dawn and Friends.  Because this is an original design I have decided to share the instructions on my blog.  Most of the products are now retired but somebody out there just might find this tutorial useful.  Please let me know if you do :)  Enjoy!

INSTRUCTIONS -
Tangerine Tango (TT), Regal Rose (RR), Daffodil Delight (DD), Early Espresso (EE), Very Vanilla(VV)

5 ½” x 5” of TT (x2) for two cut Scallop Envelopes & EE (x1) for the third Scallop Envelope
Small amount of RR & DD DSP for envelope flaps
Scrap of DD for branch
Scrap of VV for owl and true friend stamps
Accessories -
Scallop Envelope Die, XL Two-Step Owl Punch, ½” Circle Punch, Dimensional, Adhesive Velcro Dot

Cut off the two thin side flaps on the TT envelopes and adhere the two large flaps at the back together to form a ‘clam’ shape.

Place two rows of sticky strip to the top scalloped flap and attach the top of the complete and assembled EE Scallop Envelope to it.

Fold up the bottom TT scalloped flap half way and secure down with sticky strip to form the base where the easel envelope rests.

Cut out and glue DSP flaps to the card.

Complete the Scallop Envelope Easel Card as above by attaching back of owl's head to top flap, add part of the true friend stamp and punch with 1/2" circle to form a 'badge' for the owl.

Secure an adhesive Velcro dot to the lower half of the body and envelope.
