A Trip Down Memory Lane #2 - Swaps




These cards were made for my very first Stampin' Up! Event - the Regionals in Hobart (November 2008).

I get a bit restless making just one design when I do SWAPS so I'll be armed with a few different ones for the upcoming National Convention in Sydney. I'll try and aim to make 10 a week until the 21st May rocks around. Fun times ahead!

The first card with the cute little bird has remained a favourite and I've kept that Hostess Level 2 Stamp Set (Spring Solitude).

Are there any retired stamp sets or In Colours that you just can't part with?

I love my artfully asian set. The leaves in that set are always useful and I am not sure if you remember that I used it with one of the Just Add Ink Challenges. For me in general I cant part with any of my stamp sets, but I dont have as many as a demonstrator, so I am not at a point of having too many. :) I also recently purchased the retired set Dino-Mite. I cant wait until I get it in the post. Thanks for sharing your cards from the past. It is interesting to see the colours and layouts that you used.

Scallop Circle Easel Card Tutorial

Punch Potpourri Scallop Circle Easel Card in the Dynamic Duo of Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink 1. Score a piece of card stock through the middle (which is double the length of your die) and line up the folded piece over the Scallop Circle Die (SCD) leaving 4 scallops at the top to form the base of your card. This is how it should look after you run it through the Big Shot Machine . 2. Score a line through the middle of the top Scallop Circle and fold upwards. 3. Apply Sticky Strip or glue to half the Scallop Circle as shown above. 4. Cut out a single Scallop Circle in the same colour (Melon Mambo) and stick it to the folded half so the top layer sits up like an easel (The top half that is facing will now be a double layer and the bottom half, a single layer of card stock). 5. Cut two circles using the lighter shade (Pretty In Pink) and attach one to the base of the card. Spring Planter Box Card

Hi there and welcome to addINKtive designs.  Today I have a Planter Box Card to share with you.  After a bit of a craft 'slump' three challenges finally got me motivated and back into my craft room ... so a big thank you to all the DT members for their inspiration.
