JAI 66 - Just Add a Flower ...

... for Mother's Day.

Project Recipe:
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Basic Black, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, So Saffron
Ink: Soft Suede
SU Punches: XL Two-Step Bird, Heart to Heart, XL Scallop Circle, 1 3/4", 1 3/8" and 1" Circle Punches
Accessories: Top Note Die, Antique Brad, Stamping Sponge
Non-SU: Blue and white spotty tissue paper


CARD DIMENSIONS:
10cm x 21cm (scored at 11cms)
4" x 8 1/4" (scored at 4 1/4")

I first saw this absolutely adorable punch art owl on Dawn Griffith's blog. She had received it as a swap from a lady called Mary Rager. I totally fell in love with this cute little guy and just had to go out and make one straight away. I used some different punches than the ones suggested and made it into a card rather than a 'cover' for a match box.

While trying to work out how to put him together, I decided to pop a flower on his belly (made with the same scallop flower punch) to fit in with today's JAI submission.

As I was linking back to give credit, I discovered that the original punch art was actually designed by a very creative lady by the name of Angela Purdie at Kinta Kards. If you love 'Punch Art', you should check out the amazing tutorials that she has for sale! She's so .... talented!
