JAI 106 - Sketch Challenge

Just Add Ink have a Sketch Challenge this week and seeing it was my last sketch design as a DT Member, I thought I'd join in for old times' sake.

Everyday Daisy

JAI 106 - the Sketch

As you can see, I flipped the sketch on its side and kept pretty close to the layout.

I used a colour palette inspired by the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment DSP (SU) of Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Soft Suede. Crumb Cake was used as a base and Confetti White for the fence and sentiment.

The beautiful daisy cut outs were part of an awesome package of goodies from Helen as a thanks for letting her loose in my craft room a few weeks ago. Thanks again :)

Just a little note to let you know that I won't be blogging for the month of March as I've decided to have a little break. I'll still be creating, gathering ideas on Pinterest and visiting blogs but I need to see if I can cut back my time on the Internet. I'm not sure if you'll get bombarded with posts in April or whether my priorities would have shifted by then. Who knows???

I've got a couple of exciting things coming up which I need to prepare for - a card making class at a local craft store in July and the Niche Market with my good friend, Natalie from biRdy boUy, in August. I really need to wean myself off challenges and concentrate on producing some good quality stock to sell. Not to mention the fact that I'm super busy with work at the moment. Anyway ... I'll give it a go and see what happens. This is stage three in getting back to REALITY!

Until then ...
Happy crafting,

Bronwyn this card is so stunning! You have used the dsp so well and the fence and ribbon and that flower, well everything actually, is a real WOW!
I will definitely miss seeing your creativity, I hope I am bombarded with posts in April :)
Thanks for sharing this gorgeous card and for playing at Just Add Ink this week.
Good luck with your market and cutting back on the internet :)

This is a gorgeous card, Bron. I just love the little birds on the fence; such a sweet addition to the beautiful papers and that show-stopping daisy. I will miss seeing your creations through March, but completely understand how your time gets sucked away by the internet (hands up - I'm guilty!). Best of luck with your ventures, and I, too, hope to be inundated with posts in April!
Seriously gorgeous Bronwyn! I love the colours in this DSP, but am yet to open it. I love, love, love the fence - how did you make it? I'll miss your posts for March, but will definitely be checking in with you in April to see what you've been up to! Thanks for joining us this week at Just Add Ink! Narelle

No Bron all of March? I understand where you're coming from but it's not going to be much fun not getting a little dose of you now and then.

Can't wait to see what goodies you come up with for the Markets!

Love this card you've created today - gorgeous colours and all your little details are lovely.

Your sketch is awesome & the card is FABULOUS!!! Love the extra details you have incorporated into the DSP bands & the sweet pearl trim on the sentiment. I think the daisy & flourish dies were just made for each other - your big bloom is stunning!
Enjoy your blogging break Bron & all the best for the market & your class. I'll be here waiting for you to get back & in the meantime I'll be checking your boards. :)
