'Buttons and Lace' Butterfly for colourQ

I had this idea to make one of my little butterfly easel cards with faux lace and buttons so I went on a search for a lovely colour combo and found it at the colourQ challenge blog.

Aren't those knitted bunnies adorable?

I'm a little ashamed to admit that I have been following their awesome challenge site for ages but have never played along until today. I'm definitely loving the few days off over Easter to potter in my craft room.

If you think that I am a tad obsessed with making these little cards, you wouldn't be far from the truth. However, I'm happy to say that the novelty hasn't worn off yet as I'm enjoying experimenting with a few different techniques. There's still at least 3 other posts that I have scheduled for a 'rainy day' and some other ideas on the 'back-burner'.

If you'd like to make one for yourself, I have written a tutorial which you can see HERE.

Project Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts, Elements of Style
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette (textured), So Saffron, Old Olive, Soft Sky (textured/retired)
Ink: Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Scallop Edge Border, Scallop Trim Border and Eyelet Border Punches, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber

PS: Thanks to the team at colourQ for awarding me a' colourQ Courtier' for this entry.
